Did you overdraw your account?

AUTHOR: Edgeman - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008

It doesn't matter if one is overdrawn by a thousand dollars or a nickel. If you overdraw your account, you will be charged the fee that you agreed to when you opened the account.

If this is the first time, you may be able to get one of the fees reversed if you call the bank.

Last Time for What????

AUTHOR: Noir - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008

So, is this the last time you are going to spend money you don't have? If so, then you are making a commitment to taking responsibility for your personal finances. And that is what more people need to do.

A $70.00 OD fee translates roughly into 2 transactions. While inconvenient and uncomfortable, it is not unimaginable in connection with and overdrawn account of $2.69. There is no "magic math" involved.

The bottom line is that **you** overdrew your account. You are not disputing that. Take your licks and learn from them. Keep a register, learn how and when your deposits are credited (read your TOS), consider any authorization to your debit card a real time deduction from your account, and don't spend money you don't have.

It's as simple as that....
