Do not keep your checking account in the same bank as your loans or credit cards. They will drain your account without notice and your electric bill will go unpaid and bounce causing you more problems. I now have been charged NSF's because of their unauthorized withdrawal, and they do not care you lights will be cut off. I do not get paid for another 2 weeks. Stick your eggs in separate baskets.

How Many Times?

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 13, 2008

How many times do I have to post this? Do NOT keep any of your accounts at the same bank or credit unions. They WILL rob Peter to pay Paul, esp if Paul is late on his loan payments and it's all completely legal. DO NOT keep your business AND personal accounts AND loans at the same institutions, for the same reasons either. I ain't gonna post this again.

Okay...

First of all, the transaction was authorized. In your loan paperwork is authorization to get a payment from your checking account if your payment goes over a certain numbers of days late. Which brings up:
Secondly, make your agreed upon payments to your loan on time and we won't have to take the money from your checking account.
When this happened, how late were you with your loan payment? And why would you be surprised we would take the payment when you owed it and had money setting in your checking account? So as your advice says, keep your loans and checking accounts at different banks. especially if you're planning on not making your loan payment on time.
