I work at Wal-Mart and have been there since 2006.  I have noticed some things in the time I've been there. 

Where do I start, first of all, I would like to start with somthing mentioned in a previous report, faternization.  I have een several employess at my Wa-Mart that have hung out and are on good terms with management.  Also one male worker was denied a job in loss prevention because she was dating a female co-worker-Understandable.  However, the female that got the job was in a same-sex relationshi with another assocate and they let her take the job stating that Wal-Mart doesn't recognize same-sex reltionships.  Fraternization is the same no matter what.

Another probem in my store is that I was given an evaluation recenly and I got a ratin of Solid Performer which I am, however, the only thing they counted off on for me was the IMS system, the department that I work in, I don't have to use the IMS system so it's no really fair to mark me as a solid performer and not a role model because I don't use a stupid system.

I have been scheduled 6 days per week for several weeks at a time and the finally when a manager finds out about it, despite my telling him several times before, he scolds me fo working the schedule, saying I know better than to wok 6 days a week.  I also know better than to call out of work, because that will count against me.  He also sid he wuld fix my schedule but after several attempts to talk to him (and being shooed away everytime so management can talk about video games and who they hooked up with at the bar the pevious weekend,)  he still never changed my schedule.

There are a few ZMS's that can work whatever schedule they choose, and then some must follow their's or risk getting in trouble.  There is one ZMS in particular who can not work an entire scheduled day without having the department manager right with him, the departmnt manager does literally nothing and gets paid for it.

Also, I have been lied to o several occasions about promotions only to have them tell me that they changed their mind.  I have taken the suprvisor test to be eligible o be a department manager and then I have put many DM postions onmy current interests on the Wre (Which is all you supposedly have to do) and yet I haven't even been interviewed for a DM position, despite near perfect attendance, no write-ups or coachings, and a positive attitude at all times while working.

One more thing and then I think I'll close this even though with all the problems inmy store I could go on for days. 

The current loss prevention assoiate gets fussed at for not catching enough "thieves" in a week.  Last year around Christmas I was stocking action alley right outside of my department.  A woman came up to me and aske where she could find the clothes that had Jonas Bros. and Wizards of Wavely Place on them, well with that not being my department I told her I would help her look. 

We were looking for the clothes when the loss prevention associate called me over to the he told me he was tryng to catch someone and he coudn't have anyone in that deparment, are you serious, I'm trying to help this customer,so I left an wentto talk o a manager and they basically sided with him saying that while customer service i top priority that protecting our merchandise is just as important, come to find out the woman he was tailing was the lady I wa helping, just because she had been in the store for two hours, and to beat it all she had absolutely nothing he just decided toharass hruntil she left because she had been there too long.

That's all for now but I hve much more that I could tell, all I can say is that this wal-mart should be closed down!
