I do alot of my shopping/browsing online and as xmas is coming on I was doing just that. found a doll that I bought for a little girl. Online the advertised price is $29.97. The stores actual price is $39.99. Upon questioning this price difference and showing a copy of the advertisement I was told that they refused to honor the advertised price due to competition. Called another wal mart and was told the same thing, that due to competition they were not going to honor the advertised price. I bought the doll anyway, its one of the things the child wanted for xmas but am very irked that our country has came to trickery and deciet to lure shoppers in for xmas and tell you 'oh well, tough'. The doll in question is Baby Annabell Lifelike 18" Doll. Can be found onoine under toys, I have printed 2 copies of the advertisement. 11/17/2005

Walmart is misleading consumer

They may have a policy of not matching their online price but when you search for a item it says a particular price and that you should "check store for availability".
This is misleading.
You see the price and goto the store and it is significantly more.
I saw this...
http://tinyurl.com/9g43vy
Currently $10
so I goto the store and it is $18.

Just so that you are aware, it is not Wal-Mart trickory. If you purchased the doll online the price would have been 27.99. Prices vary between Wal Mart stores and it is not Wal Mart policy to compete with itself.

Rip Off

This is not a rip off. When you went online the price shown for the doll is 29.97 but that's what you pay online. The reason it is cheaper is because they do not have to pay someone to send it to the stores, and stock it they can just send it to you. There is also shipping costs which is way it is cheeper. Most things are cheeper online then in the stores. Most places will not honor there online prices. The 29.97 price does not reflect what you pay in the store. They never say that you will recieve the price in the store. Get over it.
