Can you imagine you have a girl firend of 5 years and she works as a pharmacy tech and she has becomes addicted to pills she has access to at work. For 7 months she is able to hide this from you and is taking up to 15 Norcos a day. Meanwhile when she is not at work she is taking care and driving around with your 3 yr old daughter high! Can you imagine that Walgreens of all pharmacies in the world did not notice over 2000 pills missing? and they do nothing about it? Amazing! What kind of Negligence is this on Walgreens part? What has happened to their loss prevention department? Outsourced! It gets better.

This girlfirend now addictied to drugs from Walgreens freaks out and flees out of state with your daughter. So now you have a drug addicted ex-girlfriend, your daughter is in danger and is out of state, and Walgreens does nothing to help their employee or prosecute the employee. What has this world come to? I guess Walgreens aren't the people who care any more! If you get a job there you have free access to drugs and they will not do anything about it!

How is this Walgreens fault?

AUTHOR: Dave - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 09, 2009

How is this the company's fault? It's your girlfriend's fault she became addicted. Also, pharmacies are only required by the DEA to take inventory of controlled medications every 2 years. Walgreens goes more than halfway and does inventory yearly on everything, or daily on certain drugs where there's a discrepancy of the actual quantity on hand.

Not Walgreens fault

AUTHOR: Lm - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 19, 2009

How is it Walgreens fault she became addicted? SHE chose to STEAL those pills and take them. And if YOU knew she was doing this and driving around with a child in the car why didn't YOU do something about it?
There is a process which loss prevention has to go through in order to properly prosecute a thieving drug addict. You do not know if they were in this process when she flaked and fled.
You can't blame a company for a drug addicts actions.

Loss Prevention is worthless

AUTHOR: Dogdonut - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 16, 2009

My experience with loss prevention is that these bottom feeding cop wanna bees like to walk around the stores acting like they are better than the store employees and barking out orders to "get it done". I am a former MGT so I am speaking from experience. Do not expect any help from these people. Most of them have been demoted to the store level as assistant managers as part of the re-wiring for growth plan to cut expenses.
