I took my truck in to walmart to get a simple oil change, the "tech" and I agreed on an oil and filter combination in advance as I'm picky about what goes into my engines. When I came back to pick it up they claimed they didn't have enough oil to do the change (it's a diesel and takes 11 quarts) OK, I can accept that so I jumped in and went home. I did notice that when I got in the e-brake was not set (the truck is a 6spd) but didn't think much about it.
Upon getting home I went to set the e-brake and noticed that the release mechanism was broken. I immediatly called walmart, and was told that they had never moved the truck so they couldn't have done the damage. I find that interesting since I left it in the lube lane and picked it up against the curb, guess they picked up my 7400lb truck by hand to get it there. The "manager" proceeded to argue with me that they had no liability and refused to help me in any way, then he refused to transfer me to his boss or even give me his or his bosses name. It's not that they did it.. mistakes happen, or the cost of the parts to fix it, $34.00 and ten minutes. It's that they lied to my face and were rather rude doing it. I will never do business with them again, yes I know my $500+/- or so of groceries, and small fleet of vehicles will not make or break them, but if enough people complain and take their business elswhere maybe they will get the message.

Yes, I have read many stories EXACTLY like yours, concerning the WalMart Oil and Lube Center, on the web. And, by the way, the General Manager's name and picture are located in the Customer Service area. I don't know about the General Manager at your location, but the one here is a FIREBALL when it comes to customer satisfaction. He would, and HAS, gotten to the bottom of any problem and corrected it, even if it meant firing the entire department. Try contacting the General Manager at YOUR location, and see what happens. You never know until you try.
