 On Nov 25th 2011 I Called the local Walmart store and notified them that three items I had bought for my children for Christmas 2011 on Black Friday were not in my bags the Asst Manager asked if I had my reciept I said yes he asked me to read the info to him over the telephone off the reciept which i did; he said okay I will call you back. After I placed many phone calls to the store to get either the store manager or the assistant to call me back the assistant manaer finally called me back three days before Christmas he said oops I forgot about you he said let me check into it I'll call you back. Next he called me back and asked if I could fax a copy of the reciept to him at the store I said okay and faxed it to him at the store. He called back three hours later and said he was sorry he reviewed the security tape and believed they items went out the door in the cart of the customers in front of me. He said he would've had me come pick up the items and had them waiting on me at the service desk, but they no longer had the items in stock. He said he would have his store manager William "Bill" Clark call me back he would either refund my money or give me gift cards for the price i paid for the items. I waited three hours for the Store Manager William "Bill" Clark to call me back he did not, so I began calling the store after thirty times calling and being hung up on, I finaly made contact with William "Bill" Clark who told me he had also reviewed the tape and saw my items go out the door in the cart of the customers before me in line they were put in that cart by his cashier. I said okay so what can you do for me? He said I'm saying to you tuff Shxt. I am doing nothing. I do not care about kid's or Christmas cause I don't celebrate those holidays. I asked him for his district managers phone number he declined to give it to me, he did tell me to call the king's hwy store and I would find the district manager. I called the Kings Hwy store was given the district managers name Sandy Hoff and her cell and office phone number by that store General Manager. I called an left messages for Sandy Hoff I never heard from her. Then finally someone who said she was Sandy Hoffs assistant called me back she was not courteous or helpful either her name was April. She stated Sandy Hoff was on vacation and would not return to sometime in early January 2012. She then said; "Trace" (Thats My name) here at Walmart we care even less about kids and Christmas than we do America! We are in bussiness to make money not give charity to customers and their kid's who obviously wasn't paying attention when the cashier (one walmart's emloyees) put the products they bought in the wrong customers cart. she then said have a nice day and hung up. This Was Christmas eve I never heard anything else from Walmart and my children did not get those gifts for christmas even though I had my reciept and had paid for them. I did not in the tough economy have the money to re-buy the gifts.

I think some of it may be a little fabricated but yes I can see the management being rude & not doing the right things & going out of their way to disappoint their customers. I live in central Florida & have the same problem with practically every Walmart around..... I can't say I wont go back because that would be a lie but I document everything that happens there just in case to CYA......

I have had them have a halloween item on sale 50% off & I take them back to where the entire aisle was & all the signs (even show them I took pictures) & they refuse it. After B*TCHING I got my refund. I was scared to get anything on sale after Christmas (I love getting a lot of Christmas decorations then). But i was ready to aim & fire when they tried that BS again.

I occasionally read some of these ROP's for pure entertainment value. I was compelled to actually respond to this complaint as the content is so absurd.

Could it happen? Sure, but extremely unlikely. If it did, however, it is unusual that this Walmart customer doesn't accept any of the responsibility. I believe this ecomomy would improve if Walmart's were not here but, I admit, I have shopped at them before. Customers themselves put their bags in the cart. Regardless, it is your responsibility to watch the items you're purchasing at checkout, just as it is your responsibility to watch them while loading your kids in the car.

The point that prompted to me to respond about this complaint was the previous response from a person that had such a peculiarly similar experience. At the same Walmart yet. Again, possible? Sure, but the odds of similar incidents happening at the same Walmart, then the latter 'victim' actually coming across this complaint in this particular site, and then choosing to open an account just to add a response would be, in my rough extimate, less that 1 in 10,000. Still, I could happen.

Everyone makes these errors but, interestingly enough, the only response advocating this complaint has uncannily similar grammar, misspellings, and run on sentences. Even improper nouns like "manager" are unnecessarily made into proper nouns by capitalizing the first letter. Another unusual coincidence? Perhaps. I don't buy it, however.

And while I'm here anyways, I'll add this side note: If everyone shopped at Walmart because they feel they're saving a buck, it will continue to generate an economy where most people will not be able to afford to shop at a Walmart.

You said your local Walmart.  Why not go there and resolve this problem?  Why spend so much time on the phone?  And since when does Walmart put items in shopping carts?

I could post my own rip off on the rip off report about my experience with this store located in Port Charlotte, Florida. The Management Team needs to be closely observed by someone undercover that the Managers don't know from Walmarts Corperate Office. I heard the same type things from the same Managers only they lost my lay-away. I paid it out and tried to pick it up the same day and they could not find my childrens toys. Same Managers told me they did not care about kid's they only care about money. The manager William Clark told me he doesn't celebrate hollidays because he felt they were merely for women anyway and cause him lots of drama and grief. It was several weeks after Christmas but they did refund my money claiming my layaway had been given to another customer by mistake then by the next Christmas they did away with layaway all together. I know they brought it back this year but after my experience with them I avoid Walmart if I can. Thanks go to my in-laws God Bless the Grandparents for saving Christmas that year.

I'm throwing the BS flag on this story, it's obviously made up.  I seriously doubt that anyone from Walmart would say the things you claim.  They may think it, but they wouldn't verbalize it to a customer.  I figure you're either a disgruntled ex-employee or just a Walmart hater.

I don't believe anyone told you this.  If you lied about this then I suspect you made the whole thing up.
