I have not been ripped off because I know this is a Scam! I purchased a brand new 2007 Hyundai at the end of July this year and it only had 120 miles on it. It came with full standard Hyundai factory 10 Year warranty at no extra charge.

Please do yourself a big favor and check with the dealer you purchased from to confirm if you are or are not under any currant warranty and if so, when it does expire. I'm not a big fan of purchasing extended warranties, as I have been burned in the past.

This company appears to be trying to sell policies that are useless when you do need repairs.

I would strongly advise never giving out your VIN # to some unkown person over the phone.

Again, please do "due diligence" research before signing up for extended warranties, and I would never do so through mail solicitation!!

The Hyundai USA Industry Leading 10YR/100,000 Mile Warranty

AUTHOR: Eddy Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 06, 2008

There seems to be a misunderstanding with the Warranty coverage provided.

It is not a "full standard Hyundai factory 10 Year warranty". For the first 5 Years or 60 Thousand miles the 'Limited' Warranty is in effect. After that period you are covered under the Power train Warranty until the 10YR/100K mark. Are these Service Contracts worth it. Perhaps, but I would only go with the Hyundai Protection Plan (HPP) sold by your Dealer. You can't trust those Aftermarket Companies.

Many people misunderstand "standard" warranties, and we're here to help people.

AUTHOR: Jss - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2007

Many people don't realize that the 10 year standard warranties on Hyundai's are Limited Powertrain Warranties that don't even cover engine, transmission and drive trains completely. The warranties supplied by after market companies like Warranty Services are to supplement those. They complete the warranties to bumper to bumper.

The reason why you get offered to start an extended warranty early is because extended warranties are like health care for your car. When your car is young, the cost for those programs is really low- and that's why we offer those programs to people still under warranty. When you wait to purchase an extended warranty until you are out of the original warranty, it is much more expensive, and you may not get all the coverage you want. In essence, you get less coverage for more money.

Extended warranties really help people- as long as they are underwritten by licensed and insured companies, like the ones we provide people with. As with any industry, there are some companies that shame an industry, but we pride ourselves on having a clean BBB record, a great customer service team, and again- licensed and insured programs. We have many happy customers that are grateful they have complete warranties in place. We've been there for a lot of people through the years and look forward to continuing our service.

My approach is simpler than yours: I buy vehicles that DO NOT need an extended warranty.

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 06, 2007

Now sooner or later all vehicles will need repairs. My 1991 Camry had its FIRST repair at 270,000 miles: a new alternator . And I replaced the starter at 300,000 miles. Such is life.

If I do as well with the 2007 Camry LE V6 I bought a year ago, I will have no complaints. And the Toy dealer charges $20 for an oil change & filter, completed in 30 minutes, with white-glove service. They charge $14 if I bring my own Mobil-1 or AMSOIL.
