Facts:
WTS was hired and paid amounts of $1,250 on 3/27/2006, $1,250 on 4/27/2006, and $1,250 on 5/22/2006. WTS was faxed 23 pages of information regarding tax debt on 4/19/2006. No communication came from Washington Tax until 8/2/2006 in response to an inquiry from customer, and the response from WTS via e-mail on 8/2/2006 was the IRS is not showing any liability at this time even after they had been faxed copies of the debt.
Another e-mail to WTS sent on 11/10/2006 since nothing had been heard since 8/2/2006. This e-mail was never responded to by Washington Tax.

The IRS delivered summons to customer's house on 12/12/2006. WTS was relieved of it's employ via multiple communication on 12/21/2006, and customer asked for a refund. Only after WTS was relived of this service, they submitted an offer in compromise that was MORE than the original tax debt and therefore never used. A complaint was filed with the BBB on 8/6/2007, but WTS response was very unprofessional and incorrect. An additional letter was sent by customer requesting refund and received by WTS on 6/13/08. No response has been received.

Do not do business with WTS as they are obviously not interested in providing a service.

Facts stated again

AUTHOR: Brooks - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Washington tax Services was given ample time and information to complete an accurate offer in compromise.  Unfortunately, they did not do this.  They were relieved of their charge, and the customer requested a refund per the Washington Tax Services guarantee (http://www.watax.com/guarantee.html?PHPSESSID=0bd1b9c5a7ec536e784f741d97f98a0f).  Washington Tax Services has not honored this guarantee.

WASHINGTON TAX = RESPONSE re: Office of Prof. Responsibility and Asset Transfers

AUTHOR: Jayfre - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 27, 2009

Mr. G , boyfriend to our client continues to post complaints about our company all over the internet and to the BBB. . We have addressed his complaints here and at the BBB.

As the tax resolution specialist from Brighton, Colorado indicated: disgruntled clients can go to the top of the food chain: IRS: Office of Professional Responsibility to complain about a tax professional. We are fully prepared to defend ourselves at this agency if Mr. G chooses to do so. We believe that we handled this case w/ integrity.

Bottomline:

when a client TRANSFERS ASSETS between themselves, family and/or friends WHILE OWING MONEY to the IRS this poses a SERIOUS PROBLEM for their representative. IT is illegal and constitutes FRAUD.

Mr. G continues to tar and feather Washington Tax. But in none of his continued complaints has he addressed this simple fact: assets were transferred between himself and his girlfriend while she owed the IRS. This is why we couldn't handle her case smoothly.

Blame Game

AUTHOR: Brooks - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 14, 2009

As a potential customer of Washington Tax Services (WTS) can see, WTS is oblivious or uncaring to the fact that they did not provide the service they promised. Instead, they place blame on their customers and defer responsibilty to anyone but themselves. Please search on the internet and check their poor rating through the BBB before you make a donation to their organization.

Make a complaint with the Office of Professional Responsibility. I have attached the information you need to contact them, which is also available on www.irs.gov.

The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) At-a-Glance

Mission

The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) establishes and enforces consistent standards of competence, integrity and conduct for tax professionals (enrolled agents, attorneys, CPAs, and other individuals and groups covered by IRS Circular 230.

Strategic Priorities

OPR supports the IRS strategy to enhance enforcement of the tax law and to ensure that attorneys, accountants and other tax practitioners adhere to professional standards and follow the law.

Headquarters

Internal Revenue Service
Office of Professional Responsibility
SE:OPR, Room 7238/IR

Washington, DC 20224

Phone Number: (202) 927-3397

This awareness, plus increased enforcement and additional legislation, should help deter non-compliance.

Business Objectives

To increase the percentage of tax professionals who do adhere to professional standards and follow the law by:

Establishing procedures to identify and address the most egregious non-compliance cases
Strengthening partnerships with tax professionals
Establishing and communicating standards of conduct for tax practitioners
Establishing and maintaining a system of tax practitioner oversight
Rejuvenating the referral process
Publicizing actions taken to promote the integrity of the system and deter further non-compliance
Establishing and administering a system of sanctions for tax practitioners who fail to observe standards of conduct

Final Rebuttal to Client's continued complaints

AUTHOR: Jayfre - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 06, 2009

Again as we have clearly outlined here several times:

the PERSON LODGING THIS COMPLAINT, a Mr. B from South Carolina is NOT OUR CLIENT. He is the boyfriend to OUR CLIENT.

there was a summons for information on this taxpayer BY THE IRS:

our client TRANSFERRED ASSETS to the complaintee while owing money to the IRS...this is a very serious transgression if true. This fact hampered the resolution of this case.

The client does NOT appear to want to admit this fact. And believes that in spite of this, they are due a refund. Please contact us if you want more information. Thank you.

BBB case response from Washington Tax Services

AUTHOR: Brooks - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 25, 2008

After having filed multiple complaints against this WTS with the BBB, WTS still refuses to refund the money they were paid thereby neglecting to honor the guarantee that they advertise on their website and that their representatives offer to prospective clients. I strongly suggest that no one do business with this organization unless WTS is willing to provide pro-bono services or a service BEFORE they have been paid.

Response to Mr. G's complaint -Information NOT provided as requested

AUTHOR: Jayfre - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 01, 2008

Mr. Brooks Gxxxxxx is not a client of Washington Tax Services. His girlfriend, Melissa L. hired us to assist her with a tax issue. Mr. Gxxxxxx authorized Ms. L. to use his credit card to pay for our services.

We did considerably more work for Ms. L. than what is summarized by Mr. Gxxxxxxx. We were unable to continue working when the client was unable to or refused to provide us with crucial information which was requested by the IRS. The IRS issued a summons for this information but the client did NOT appear. We were unable to continue representation without disclosure of this information. Neither party is due a refund from Washington Tax Services.

Ms. L previously filed a complaint with the BBB which was closed by the BBB last year. The reference number for this complaint was: 22125752.

The client is invited to contact us to discuss this further. Staff of Washington Tax Services.
