I talked with a fellow quite a few times at Watchbrokers.com before I sent my dad's rolex to them. I needed the money for the watch to pay the initial fee to the nursing home he needed to be in. I sent the watch and original purchase papers of the watch to them. They were very smooth in what they tell you about selling your "timepiece".

I sent the watch in January 2011. In March of that month- I wanted the watch back because I had not heard from them. I requested it back exactly as their contract allows. Never heard from them. When I talked with someone - Eric Toso - he didn't have my watch. What? - I contacted the Better Business Bureau - they could not get anyone to talk to their either. I kept calling - kept getting voicemail and left messages. I e-mailed with no response.

Finally - July of 2011 - Eric Toso calls me - my watch has been sold - I will recieve my funds within two weeks. Never happened - started calling and e-mailing again and again. Talked with a woman and she said Eric doesn't work there anymore and she would try to find out who has my file. Got an e-mail from some guy that I had a case number and they would study to see what finances had to be distributed. Said I would get a check within a month - never happened.  Now - I recieved a letter from the company that is investigating them as per requested by the courts.

This is sad - my dads beautiful gold rolex has been stolen by this company and I was misled and Watchbrokers.com breached their contract. Consumers have no contract for these companies - we have to agree to their terms and when we follow it and get ripped off- we can do nothing to get our property back - I am in another state and I would have to get a lawyer in their state to sue them - My dads watch was purchased in Europe for $5000.00 in 1995. It is worth much more than that today. I needed the money to care for my dad. Instead - it was stolen by this company and I had to find the initial fee to get him in a nursing home from other sources which was very painful to do...
