wayne harris/ animaltrustpets.com buying pets online, Internet

i found a classified add for boxer puppies for sale in hilo hawaii. i live on oahu and contacted the seller to see if the puppies could be brought to my island. he assured me that he knew a reputable transportation company that he used to transfer other puppies he had sold to other islands. his name was wayne harris and he told me he was selling the dog because he wife had passed away and he could not give them a good home. he asked me a number of questions about what kind of home i could give the dog, and was very concerned about it going to a good home. 

once he "dropped off the dogs" (that i now know never existed) i began talking to the transportation company. Animal trust pets (www.animaltrustpets.com)  who was also very helpful and nice, until the time came around that my dog was to be delivered. they told me he was being help up in quarantine and that they needed an additional 2000 dollars to get him through and wanted me to wire the money to cameroon. ( in africa ) i immediately knew that this was a scam, as dogs born in hawaii have no problems with quarantine or anything like this. when i told them i was on to them they began to threaten me with charges of abuse and abandonment. when i informed them that my lawyer was on his way to the quarantine office, they quickly stopped talking to me. 

they did get some money out of me, thankfully it was not much compared to the 2000 more they wanted, but i had to explain to my children why to puppy we had all prepared for was never coming! do not try to purchase any animals from Mr. Wayne Harris or ANYONE who wants to transfer them using the company Animal Trust Pets
