WC "Value Plus", Membership Services "Unauthorized charges" fraud scam "$14.95 a month" Hopkins Minnesota

I recently got an e-mail from an old bank I haven't used in a few years telling me I was overdrawn. I was confused because last I knew I had around $450 sitting in that account as I was using it as a savings account.

I checked my statements and found that WC "Value Plus" had been charging $14.95 to an old debit card since January 2006. I quickly canceled all the cards associated with that bank and called the number on my statement.

The lady that answered the phone said she worked for Membership Services. When I asked about the unauthorized charges she asked me if I would like to cancel my account with WC "Value Plus". I told her I most certianly would and I would also like a refund for 30 months worth of fraud. She then said that she had no way of doing that because all Membership Services does is answer phones for multiple 3rd party companies. I asked to speak to a manager and she put me on hold for around 20 minutes.

Finally a man picked up the phone and said he was the manager. I told him the same thing I told the lady and he said all he could do is send me a "refund request form". That was on July 28th 2008.

Today, August 13th 2008, I just received the "refund request form" and I will be mailing it back first thing in the morning. I will update this when something new happens.
