Following is a letter I wrote on my father's behalf to Wealth Systems demanding a cancellation of his membership and a full refund. I have been struggling with this for a couple of years with no success. Does anyone know how I can get a refund from this company.

I have complained with the Attorney General of Arizona with no success. My father is disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and I have power of attorney over him in this matter. Any responses can be made to me (John) directly, and I thank you in advance very much for your help. Here's the letter:

Martin Wilson, CEO
Wealth Systems, Inc.
4222 N. 21st St., Box 3
Phoenix, AZ 85016
February 7, 2003

Dear Mr. Wilson,
In July of 2002 I responded to a mailing on the Web Broker Program. After speaking to your representative Mark Shilling, I purchased the Platinum Package for $897.00 plus a $29.00 processing fee for a grand total of $927.00. I sent in a check for this amount and received the Business Package a day later via Fed Ex.

The ID number for my two web sites is 3628. After thoroughly reading all the material, I decided to call an Advertising Coach and speak about ways to advertise my web sites. I reached Tania Martinez and spoke at length with her, explaining to her that I was unfamiliar with the Internet and ways to market web sites.

We spoke about placing the classified ads in my local newspapers, but she mentioned that I shouldn't be concerned with these classified ads but rather I should purchase a 20 Keyword Package from Wealth Systems and have you do all the marketing for me via Search Engines, etc. She said that I needed to be enrolled in your advertising program and assured me that this would be the most effective way to market my web sites and earn my commission.

I mentioned that I didn't even know what Keywords were and that I couldn't therefore create a list of the 20 required Keywords to send to you. She told me not to worry about that and that she would take care of all the necessary steps to effectively market my web sites. All I needed to do was to send in two checks, one for $1,425 and another for $1, 424 totaling $2,849.00.

She said that this 20 Keyword Package would consist of a variety of features (that I didn't quite fully understand since I'm not familiar with using the Internet) that would most effectively market my two web sites, and that it would be in effect for a period of two years. I paid this amount to you and received an invoice for this transaction dated July 24, 2002.

A few days later I called again and was unable to speak with Tania. Instead I was transferred to Matt Darby who basically reiterated all that Tania had said. I told him that I had a sheet for the 20 Keywords that I was supposed to fill out and send in according to the instructions but that I didn't quite understand it.

He said not to worry but that he would coordinate everything with Tania and take care of that for me. According to Tania Martinez and the literature sent to me, the average submission and listing time is 3 weeks to 4 months and I should be patient in waiting for the results.

After waiting this period of time, I began calling Wealth Systems in November to check on the progress of my marketing. In the few months prior to calling, I had received no correspondence from Wealth Systems whatsoever.

I called many times during November and was never able to reach Tania Martinez. I was always told by the receptionist that a marketing coach would call me back. Sometimes I was even given specific times when they would call back but no one ever called me.

Early in December I explained all of this to my son John since he is very familiar with the Internet, web programming and marketing. I mentioned that I may have misunderstood how soon the 20 Keyword Package was supposed to take effect.

John read all the material thoroughly, studied my web sites on the Internet and searched for my sites on a variety of different search engines. Finding no results for my sites, he concluded that the 20 Keyword Package was not yet in effect and decided to call Wealth Systems to help me out with the whole program.

Throughout the month of December he left 4 messages for general customer service, and he left 6 messages for Tania Martinez on her direct line asking for a return call to him or myself but never received a call. On January 6th and 7th, John left messages with customer service and Tania Martinez but we received no calls in return.

Finally on January 8th, he spoke with a receptionist at 8:00am Arizona time and was assured that a marketing coach would call us back early that day. We received no calls that day, however the following day, we received a call from Stephanie to whom my son spoke at length.

Upon explaining everything to her, she said that the 20 Keyword Package was never activated because Wealth Systems never received the 20 Keyword list sheet that I was supposed to fill out. If this is true, why did Tania Martinez tell me that she would do it, and why did Wealth Systems cash my checks but never call me looking for the 20 keyword list?

My son had a few questions for Stephanie, such as Can I give you HTML code to put counters on our websites? and Can we register separate domain names and use URL forwarding to point to our wealthsystemsinc websites? At the time Stephanie wasn't able to give John the answers he needed but said that she would call back.

John also wanted information on exactly what the 20 Keyword Package included. Stephanie said that she would both e-mail this information and send a fax. She did call back answering a few of John's questions and mentioned again that she would send the fax and e-mail. She called a third time that day to see if John had received the fax and e-mail but I told her that we were still waiting for them.

As of today we still haven't received any fax or e-mail detailing the features of the 20 Keyword Package. When John spoke to Stephanie on the 9th, she said that the web sites that I had were not as good as they could be and she offered another package (called e-properties?) that would give me custom and more professional looking web sites that were bigger and better.

She even offered to sell us another 20 Keyword Package to go with this. John asked if he could see a sample of one of these web sites on the Internet and he was put on hold while she looked for a web address to give him. He was given the address www.alternatebiz.us which he tried viewing but doesn't exist.

As you can see I'm completely dissatisfied with the customer service (or lack thereof) given to me by Wealth Systems. After paying a total of $3, 776.00, I should be attended to effectively and promptly, but during the past few months I find that it's virtually impossible to reach customer service and have my questions answered.

According to my conversations with Tania Martinez in July of 2002, I purchased a Platinum Program, a 20 Keyword Package that she was supposed to put into effect, and I should be receiving at least some commission from web site sales to new web brokers.

So far nothing has taken place and I've heard only contradictions from your marketing coaches Tania Martinez and Stephanie. I'm a senior citizen disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and I'm not in a position to be struggling with these issues.

I hereby request to have the $3, 776.00 amount returned to me as soon as possible and to cancel the two active web sites www.wealthsystemsinc.com/3628 and www.myebookstor.com/3628. I thank you very much for your help with this matter.

Sincerely,
Robert H.
