Wealth-Wise offered an income generating service along with money-making and money-saving "tips" that went into "trouble" early on! They charged my "debit" card twice ($100 in October, and $100 in November of 2016).
Around Thanksgiving I received an e-mail stating that they were having problems with their "merchant account," and that they were trying to resolve matters.
On January 12th of 2017 I received another e-mail (sent to all "members") with the Subject Title: "Important Update From Wealth Wise," which said that they will have to "close their doors," as they could not resolve their "merchant account" problem. They went on to say that they wanted to be sure that "no losses were taken at members' end," so if a "refund" was due, that members were to simply type "Refund Due" in the Subject Field when e-mailing them. Members, however, would have to "wait" until February 27th because their bank would not release any funds before that date.
I only received one (1) "physical" check for $100 (this was on November 18th) and it was signed by "Tiffany Smith." Since they charged my "debit" card a total of $200, and I only received $100, for Wealth-Wise to honor their "promise" they should have sent me a second "physical" check for $100. This is simple, easy to understand, and I realize that $100 is not a lot of money to be concerned about, but when you add the number of "members" who were likely scammed by them the total they "pocketed" could be considerable! This is NOT right!
I sent Wealth-Wise several e-mail "reminders" that a "refund" was due, but they were ignored. Then on March 7th someone at Wealth-Wise replied saying: "We mailed you a check for $100 in October. Which refund are you referring to?" In the first place NO CHECK was issued to me or received in October! As I already said the one "physical" check I received was on November 18th. I brought this to their attention (within one hour of receiving their e-mail), but I never heard from them again! I contacted the BBB covering Atlanta, GA, and asked for their help, but they too were completely "ignored" by Wealth-Wise!
The Wealth-Wise phone number (last time I checked appears to have been "disconnected"), and the "postal" letter I sent Wealth-Wise was "returned" UNOPENED and marked "RTS." This was on March 29th.
So, this scam outfit appears to have blocked all methods of contact. I am sure they will pop-up again at some point, so people please "beware!"
