I joined wealthy affiliate looking to start an internet based business. After signing up I decided that wealthy affiliate was not what I was looking for. I wanted to cancel. I wasn't asking for a refund (their policy states "No Refunds"...which should have been a red flag for me), just to cancel my membership and bill me for no further payments.

I sent in a support ticket (no phone number listed) and the response I got was to go into my account and look under the help topics and I'd find out how I could cancel. Whattttt????

They won't take the time to cancel my membership? Another red flag.

I found the refund topic. The only problem is, it's not as easy as clicking a "cancel membership" button. It tells you how to cancel any further PayPal payments. OK, I'd be fine with doing this myself just to get out of this crazy maze. There's just one problem.... I didn't pay with PayPal.... I opted to pay with my credit card (not through PayPal).

I sent another message and informed the company of this and now I can't get them to reply.

So buyer beware when dealing with this company.

Canceling Your Wealthy Affiliate Subscription Is Easy

AUTHOR: RikaSF - (South Africa)

POSTED: Saturday, December 03, 2016

All I want to say, canceling your Wealthy Affiliate subscription is the easiest thing to do.  You visit your profile.  Go to your account setting and select manage under subscription settings.  You will see in big red letters "Stop Billing and Close Account".  Press that and you will be asked why you want to leave.  They need the info to improve the visitor experience. You select an option and payment will be stopped soon.

There is nothing else to it.  You do not need to contact support, but if you want to you can.  There is also the community of 600 000+ where you can ask anyone where to cancel your subscription and you will get an answer in less that 2 minutes.

The Wealthy Affiliate Support team is excellent and they will also assist you.

Please note Wealthy Affiliate does not have a money back guarantee because you can join as a lifetime member for free before you decide to subscribe to the premium membership.  You have all the time in the world to decided whether you want to use the product or not.

What Wealthy Affiliate offers you cannot get anywhere else online.

Step by step interactive training, support, website hosting for up to 25 websites and state of the art security, community support 24/7 from over 600 000+ members.  There is also a strict No Spam policy at Wealthy Affiliate and the members are helpful and friendly.

My definition of a scam is where you pay for something and get nothing in return.

What you learn from Wealthy Affiliate in 7 days is worth far more that the premium you pay every month.

Wealthy Affiliate has never ignored me because

AUTHOR: renelmiller0120 - (USA)

The owners, Kyle and Carson, have given every single person who is a free member or a premium member, direct access to their email inbox. Every single email request that I have ever sent to these guys has been answered within 24 hours.  Including the time when my payment bounced twice; I was upset and thought they were going to cancel my membership? Kyle responded to me immediately twice and told me that they wouldn't do that.

If you gave a credit card to charge your monthly membership to, they will keep charging it month after month until you cancel. If you want to cancel, there are several ways to reach these guys, the best one is their email within the group in a private message.

But as for not responding to you, unless you were absolutely rude about it, I don't believe that either one of these guys wouldn't respond to anything.

There are many times that people get upset because they don't think that things move along quick enough when we ask and it could be that one of the guys was on vacation and the other guy was handling everything. There are tens of thousands of members at Wealthy Affiliate and these two guys have done a great job in keeping it all together.

Like I said, I have never gone more than 24 hours waiting for a response from either one of them.

I am sorry that you had such an awful experience but I cannot believe that either one was rude or innappropriate or simply did not respond. If I cancel something, the first thing I do if I gave that biz or person money or a credit/debit card to charge my membership fees to, is to go in and remove the credit card information totally. That's all you had to do.

If you have not received your refund still, I would send Kyle a personal email and explain everything to him; and if they say "no refunds" they are just like any other business out there. No one likes to give refunds; and that is usually why they stipulate it in the contract that you accept and agreed to.

The matter has been resolved

AUTHOR: Scott - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 22, 2009

The matter has been resolved. They added a cancel button and I was able to cancel. The process should have been easier, but for those who join in the future should be able to cancel easily if they find it's not for them.

The people on the forum are great. If you do join, be sure to check out the forum.
