Thank you everyone for shearing your stories, I also thought I was the only one who was fooled and schemed by Web Marketing Experts team. I thought that since I'm a small business on the initial stage of life, that they allowed them self to treat me like they did.

until I have signed the contract the sales guy was very nice to me, gave me a lot of compliments on my website and promised me that good SEO job will help me to start my business. It took me 2 month to get convinced that SEO is the right option for me.

After signing I was introduced to my account manager from WME, and she told me we need to start working on a new site if we want to get good results by Google, I was surprised, because the General Manager who signed me on the contract didn't thought so at the beginning, but I thought that if WME think that it's needed and it was only for 1000$ so I'd better give it a go. I did it only after she promised me they will start doing the SEO on my old site and when the time come, and the new site will be ready (after 4-5 weeks, as she estimated, and I was to fool to make sure I have a time frame in my new web design contract) they will easily shift their activity to the new one.

It took them more than 19 weeks to finish the site platform development and it turned out to be a free WP template!! So I wonder, what took them so long??? When I called and asked about their progress I got all kinds of excuses, similar to what you guys experienced.

All that time they have done nothing with the SEO, other than sending me list of irrelevant Keywords , writing the same article in 3 different languages (my business is aiming only for Sydney's clients so I'm not sure why they did that ) and of course adding the "resource" page with my competitors, as you all mentioned.

When I tried to contact the guy who first signed me on the contract, it was an impossible mission, when I asked my account manager why she hasn’t started working yet, she gave me excuses. When I asked to get their strategy for prompting my site, 3 month down the track, she said they haven't worked on one yet.

When I told her my contract is about to end, she said "don't worry, when your new site will be ready I will contact my manager to ask for additional 2 month for you", by then we where 4 month behind schedule! And it goes on and on with excuses that makes you feel so stupid but helpless.

And then I asked her to get out of the contract, she asked me to right her an email expressing my concerns, few days later her manager called me and said they would like to offer some compensation in order to keep me as a client and to convert me to a satisfied client, he also mentioned it’s not common for them to screw things up with a customer like they did with me…(I wonder…)

When I told him I needed to get the results of the SEO activity by now, and can’t wait any longer (another 3 month time) and that I was already very disappointed from their service and the way they treat their customers and need to look for other activity/way in order to get leads ASAP, before I will go out of business, thanks to WME. He said he understands my point and promised to refund ALL my money and stop charging my account, I asked him to send it to me on writing and obviously I didn’t get it.

After few days, when I haven’t heard from him and I got CHARGED again, I called him to find out what is going on and when I'm going to see the money, he said that the higher management decided not to go along with the refund, they think they did everything they can to supply the best service, that they have done all the work they were expected to do and there is no reason for a refund! My only option is to continue with my contract!

It is very interesting, if you consider the fact that both their employees did felt bad about what happened to me and did thought I deserve some kind of compensation and even a full refund! And considering the fact that it has been more than 5 month and I didn't have nor my website ready or any SEO activity on my account.
