Wellington Retreat Is Only Slightly Better Than Prison West Palm Beach Florida

I came to Wellington in August of this year.  I had a drug and alchohol problem and my parents thought that going to a dual-diagnosis clinic would be the right fit for me.  I have no health insurance, so therefore they paid $14,000 cash for me to get help at Wellington.

I thought I would be staying at a super nice place and being fed well.  So when the cordinator and I arrived at an America's Best Value Motel I was a little surprised.  Its not bad but it is infested w/ ants.  And he has all the mental cases running around and still rents out the lower 2 floors to the general public.  Which should be illegal in my opinion.  

The day at Wellington begins w/ a 6am wakeup.  We leave at 7:45 to cram into vans and drive from the hotel to the treatment center which is 15 minutes away.  We would slam down some breakfast such as cereal and bagels.  Sometimes waffles and shitty eggs if we're lucky.  Then we hustle to another building for what I call the "Battledome Meeting."  This is where Dr. Moran and his cronies have everyone giant circle.  He proceeds to pick out one person who is reported to be behaving badly.  Then all the staff and Dr. Moran pile on them right in front of everyone.  Sometimes w/ topics that are very personal and humiliating.  

Fortunantly I was not a target of this until the end of my time there.  In fact I was so serious about getting drugs and alchohol out of my life that I was accused of "faking" it by Dr. Moran and his staff.  I told him that it was absurd to have my family pay all that money and for us to go to bed hungary at night.  

There is no end to your treatment at Wellington.  Unless your cash or insurance runs out.  If you're in trouble legally and looking for a completion letter, ..forget about it here.  Several of the coordinators told me they know of one person getting one after 2 yrs there.  

The most important thing at Wellington is signing the attendance sheet from each class throughout the day, so they can bill insurance.  Nevermind if you sleep through all the meetings all day.  He has so many people drugged to the point they can't even stay awake.  If you make it to the independant liveing get ready to pay $175 a week to live in deplorable neighborhood, full of drugs.  Dr. Moran may have you work at his restaurant w/ you earnings going toward the co pays your insurance didn't pick up.  

Forget about seeing Dr. Moran or any doctor for that matter. You'll be lucky to see someone w/ a college degree.  And not in a one on one setting.  Its a group meeting called case load.  No recreation, no excercise, no books, just 2 tVs that everyone fights over at the hotel.  Sit on your a*s all day so be careful you will gain weight here.  

One more thing Dr. Moran is a weird dude. ...and yes you can find his posts on gay sex hookup sites.  He has several fairy boys working there, I have no idea what goes on w/ that.  And yes they do cutoff all contact w/ your family.  You can talk to your parents once a week while your therapist intergects everything you are trying to get across.  Thank goodness I am out.  They were going to take my parents whole retirement savings.  

When you leave Wellington you will be on the street w/ out your belongings.  They call your family tell them horrible lies and convice them not to take your calls.  Then you go back the next day and they might give you your stuff back.  I know of one girl who made repeated attempts to get her stuff and they refused.  If you go in there w/ cash they WILL KEEP IT.   

I just can't say what a horrible place this is.  Please don't send your loved ones here.  The other doctor there had his medical license revoked in Texas for smoking crack cocaine and one of his patients turned him.  Jill is particularily evil!!  Watch out for that b***h!!  In fact most everyone there has no skill or real talent to offer society so they are there in Moran world.  Agreeing w/ his skewed logic.  I thought I would be seeing a Doctor, instead we played Bingo in the afternoon.  What a waste of money!!

I'm glad to have stayed sober DESPITE my time at WEllington!
