Held auto loan for Toyota Truck, sold truck to private party April 28 2007. Called for payoff and got amount of $10,085.79. Went to Wells Fargo Office in Flagstaff got lower amount for payoff. We paid larger amount to save future problems.

May 1st recieve letter stating loan paid in full and auto title was enclosed. Signed title over to new owner. May 16th 2007 receive 2nd letter with wrong account number stating due to their accounting error $500 was posted to loan account in Feb. 07 and just found the error on May 12th 2007 and we owe $500. Also stated in letter that all previous paper work is to be returned.

Called Wells Fargo headquarters on May 17th and get bounced around thru operators which tell us it is their mistake but we have to pay the amount or will get reported for late payment. Even after paying $10K on April 28th 2007. Talked to supervisor Kimberely Day and she will send accounting sheet showing the error also gave us until June 15th 2007 to pay the $500.

Today May 19th get a call from Wells Fargo demanding payment for $161 and now the total amount is $518 for pay off. Threatened again that we will be reported to credit companies if we do not pay. Informed them not to call or will sue for harassment, operator stated they will continue to call til payment is made.

Wells Fargo has not given any customer service except to threaten us for payment on their mistake. We paid the amount stated to us by their personnel and have letter and title showing paid in full with no proof except their word and a questionable accounting sheet. So far they have shown accounting mistakes and administrative mistakes on 4 different occassions. Feel sorry for the other customer who is now showing a 4 month late payment. I will not trust Wells Fargo with any banking or loans in the future. Be aware that this does not happen to you.
