Wells Fargo bank manipulates transaction to its advantage and adds fines and charges, Watchout!

First of all you charge a lot of money for over draft on top of it the greed drives you to manipulate transactions so you can make more money. What kind of service do you do to customer who has been with you bank for years? How can you do such an inhuman thing? Changing all the payments and sucking hard earned money out of poor people. Don't you have any shame? Why do you manipulate transactions so that you can impose more fine? It's ridiculous.!!!!!!!!!!

Why do you manipulate my account for more payments for over draft fee?

People watchout the bank manipulates payments and transaction to optimize itself!

I have documented all transactions before manipulation and after.

Forget The Lawsuit

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

or Class Action, or whatever. Wells Fargo (along with a few others) was sued in a Class Action a few years ago for the fees and the courts indicated that as long as their practices were fully disclosed, they could essentially do what their policies dictated. In other words, they can manipulate transactions from highest to lowest, they can post debits before credits, and ultimately charge as many fees as they wish, so long as the fees are consistent with the account agreement. All of it is legal and the government isn't going to step in if the courts already have.

The truth is - many people mismanage their funds by (1) relying on the online balance for their available balance, (2) use a debit card for small transactions.

First, the online system is not intended to replace your check register; it was intended to be used as a tool to help you balance your checkbook by alerting you to (a) automatic withdrawls, (b) fraud on your account, (c) fees and credits to your account, and (d) all other transactions. If you stopped keeping a register, you're going to be out of luck in any dispute with the bank because the duty to keep track of what's in your account is the account holder, not the bank. The bank merely administers your account for you. Presenting a printout of the bank statement is irrelevant and holds nothing for you because the account agreement stipulates they can manipulate transactions. Moreover, every bank does this, so no matter where you go, you're faced with this.

Second, the debit card is something the bank gives you as a "convenience". It is hardly a convenience when it costs you hundreds of dollars a month in NSF fees. Debit cards are OK if you have money and don't intend to overdraw your account because you aren't anywhere near $0 in your account. If you run a thin balance, a debit card is the worst thing you can have because you will overdraw the account. The best thing for a consumer (and not for the bank) is if you stop using a debit card to pay for things. Use cash or credit cards.

The other truth is this: manipulating the account wouldn't really matter if you have money in the account. In other words, it doesn't matter how the banks order transactions if you don't overdraft the account in some way. Learn how banks work, take the steps outlined above to use a check register and stop using debit cards, and you won't overdraft your account. Best of luck to you.
