Due to the lawsuits regarding Wells Fargo Dealer Services, I did a Google search and found many consumers complaining about the way payment overages were being applied.  Generally, like with a home loan, any extra amount paid or extra payments are applied to the principle loan amount, as your interest for the month is paid with your regularly scheduled payment.  NOT SO WITH WFDS!  They will apply to future interest due and simply move your next scheduled payment out to another date.

 I reviewed my entire payment history (with detail) and found that they had added $1,039.00 for extra insurance because they thought I was not covered, but credited it back the next month after I had my insurance agent call them directly.  They also had taken all of my overpayments and extra payments and applied to interest first (even when the monthly interest payment was already paid in full), then applied to principal.  

When I called them, they stated that unless I bring the payment to a Wells Fargo bank and specify it is for principal, they will apply to interest first.  They offered to fix my most recent payment only.  I stated that was unacceptable, as I have been paying interest on an additional principal amount since the date of my first overpayment.  I was transferred to a supervisor who was very nice and sent a request to have my entire loan "re-cast", as in re-amortized with all of my additional payments and overpayments applied directly to the principal loan as it should be.  

Please check your loan history and be sure payments are applied properly.  Stay calm and cool on the phone, but be persistent.  My next task - get a payoff amount with GAP insurance credit for unused portions!  Good luck out there - be your own advocate and get it done!

Its not far or right that ashley hawthorne gave her family and friends nice car loans with nice vehicles and on top of that she didn't want us to have anything nice or even a bank account. So she influenced wells fargo and dane chambers to close my bank account and she falsely called the police while we was taking care of our own banking business. 

Wells fargo themselves has lied in writing that due to my continued harassment of their district manager ashley hawthorne which is why they closed my account.  I was told to go to a local wells fargo branch to finish opening my new account around 04/01/2015 when out of the blue my online access to my checking account had been disabled, and when I called wells fargo they told me that somebody had attemp to hack into my account, and told me I had to open a new checking account.


It was down right dirty what wells fargo did to me running me back and forth from my home to the wells fargo bank to open my new checking account, to only be sent a threatening letter by dane chambers telling me that wells fargo was exericising their rights to close my account oh he was very biased toward me in the letter. He SHOUTED my name in all caps very unprofessional. And he told me that I had better stay out of the wells fargo branch where i ran into ashley hawthorne or they would call the law to me. Well ashley hawthorne all ready did that to me while I was minding my own freaking business. Ashley hawthorne is the queen B.

We was treated badly because of ashley and chaz hawthorne and other wells fargo employees who they had gotten involved in the closing of my new checking account. And wells fargo has done nothing to ashley hawthorne but rewarded her for her criminal and unethical things her and chaz have done against me.

Ashley and chaz are snot nose jerks.
