I paid off my auto loan with you on 3/1/06. It is now 4/27/06 and I still do not have the title to my vehicle. I called on 3/20/06 and was told that they would send an email to the title department and to call back on 3/23. I called back and they said they don't know what happened so they will put through a return call request.

Having heard from no one, I called back on 3/27 and was put through to the title dept and was on hold for 37 minutes with no answer. I called back on 4/3 and was told that there was no answer to the email sent to the title department so someone would call me back.

No one called me back, so I called again on 4/10 and was again put on hold for 24 minutes. I called back on 4/20 and was on hold for 34 minutes. I called back on 4/24 and was told that the title department was very busy so I would just have to hold. I spoke to asupervisor the next day on 4/25 and told him of this horrible service and then he just put me back on hold for another 18 minutes!

This is absolutely unacceptable. It has been 41 business days since I paid my car off. My husbands car title (through another comapny) arrived 6 business days after I paid it off. Your company has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I want my title NOW or you will be hearing from my lawyer.
Sincerely,

Erika

Here is the number, but they never answer!

AUTHOR: Erika - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 27, 2006

At first I called 888 346-4357 and was transferred to title and they still have not answered. They then gave me the direct number for the title department which is 800 377-9946 and I can't get through to them either. Let me know if you have better luck! I can't believe they can just hold on to our titles like that!

I Paid my Car Loan Off in December 2004 and Still Have Not Received my Title. Can You Provide me the Number You Contacted as I Would Like to Call Them

AUTHOR: Brad - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 27, 2006

I originally financed my car loan with Bank United in January 2001. I re-financed with Wells Fargo in November 2003 because Wells Fargo offered a lower interest rate. Wells fargo told me they would take care of the payoff and obtaining the title form the former lender, Bank United which was sold out to Washington Mutual, so I thought no more about it. I paid the loan off in December 2004. Wells Fargo sent me a letter acknowledging the payoff and zero balance on the account. The letter further stated the previous lienholder, Washington Mutual, would be sending me the vehicle's title in 6 to 8 weeks.

As of today, I still do not have the car title. I have attempted to contact Wells Fargo and they claim Washington Mutual has the title and they cannot help me. I tried to contact Washington Mutual to find my title and Washington Mutual claims they do not have it and that Wells Fargo has it. Washington Mutual could not even find my past Bank United loan and claimed I never had a loan with them. I informed them I did have a loan and can send them the documents. Washington Mutual claims they would have sent the title to Wells Fargo once they got the payoff and "new lienholder" information. Wells Fargo put me on long holds each time they transferred me to someone else to help me.

The bottom line is that Wells Fargo should have my title as they took possession of the title when I refinanced the loan with them. How would they be able to repossess or total the vehicle without the title? Wells needs to get our titles to us and stop the BS.
