Wells Fargo Wells Fargo losing my financial data and I have online payment accounts deleted Huntersville North Carolina
*Consumer Comment: Good One
I have been a long time customer of Wells Fargo and they recently moved my online payment service to a new platform and they have appeared to restrict my access to older accounts which are now inactive, lose some of my payment history data...and who knows what other issues. I also had two auto payment accounts deleted somehow, resulting in a credit bureau derrogatory statement. Who can I talk to at CNN to share this story and put pressure on the bank to be honest with me (and thousands of other consumers) regarding what has happened to my personal financial data?

Sorry but a person who fails to maintain proper account management isn't "news worthy" and I doubt that even your neighborhood newspaper would be interested, let alone a National News outlet.
Oh but you ask how dare I say you are responsible?
Well first let me say that of course it is inconvenient if your auto-debits got removed. But in the end it is still YOUR responsibility to make sure bills are getting paid.
Why do you think you are sent statements(either paper or electrically) every month? Is it just because they have nothing better to do? NO...it is so YOU can reconcile your statements and verify that not only are all the transactions made are your, but the ones you had authorized were actually paid.
Had you done this you would have realized that the "auto pay" accounts were not being withdrawn well before any negative mark hit your credit reports. So this falls squarely on you for the responsibility.
As to your inactive accounts. Why would you expect to have full access to accounts that are inactive?
There is always time for a good conspiracy theory, so what exactly do YOU think they did with your data?
