Number calls your cellphone incessantly but doesn't leave a message or hangs up if you actually answer. This is done on purpose because when you call back an automated machine answers pretending to be Wells Fargo and right away asks you for your credit card number. Sounds legit enough but here's the kicker: I DO NOT NOR HAVE I HAVE EVER HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH WELLS FARGO.

It gets even more sophisticated, you can ignore the message and it will actually transfer you to a so-called representative who will then ask you for your social security number.

I told him write down my cell phone number instead AND DO NOT CALL IT ANYMORE because I am going to the feds with this. He promptly hung up on me.

I've researched the number on the internet and apparently many others are getting these calls. Some have actually entered in their credit card numbers only to have their bank accounts drained. Apparently this has been going on for two years or more and they have not been shut down. The real Wells fargo is aware of it and has told customers it definitely is a scam.

Do not fall for it. Never give anyone your credit card information if they have contacted you first. Point blank.

I called sprint and there is no way to block the number, at least not with sprint service.

A LOUD BOAT HORN, & WHEN THEY CALL YOU AGAIN SIMPLY BLOW IT INTO YOUR PHONE!

This might be a way that you can stop them from calling you again, right?

Or, you can sing this to them- 'TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS', just like Tiny Tim did years ago on the 'Rowan & Martin Laugh-In Show'.

'Google' this- YOUTUBE TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS, and watch Tiny Tim sing that song on the web!

Thank you.
