After many overdraft fees I have determine the Wellsfargo software is program to post debit items in such a way so the always the largest item is posted first in order to generate the maximum possible number of overdraft fees.

It's been like that for years...

And has been since the early 1990s since consumers went to Congress and complained that they were being "ripped off" by the banks because the banks were processing lowest to highest and bouncing their car payment, which was then repossessed. Same with rent or mortgage...so the banks changed to the opposite way.

This has been going on for at least two years...I think that almost all banks have caught on to this trick ...Instead of processing checks in the chronological order received, they've figured out that if they hold onto checks and then process them in batches....going from highest to lowest amounts...that they can greatly increase their NSF fees....Bank are making billions in profits off of this....

Join a credit union if you can...they tend to not do this....
