I ate at Wendy's in Largo, FL one day and before I could finish my meal I had a tooth break off. I went to the dentist for an evaluation as to the cost of having it repaired and submited that report to Wendy's Inc. I asked to be reimbursed for the nearly $5000 it would cost for the repair.Their lawyer told me that because I had had dental work and the tooth was not perfect to begin with I had no claim!

I had to pay for the repair myself and cannot eat at Wendy's any longer because as they said, "my teeth were not perfect". I had just been to my dentist the week before for cleaning and a check up and he reported no problem with my teeth. That is documented.

Yes, I was 60 yrs old but have had good dental care all my life and if that is not worth acknowledging then i have no case as Wendy's says.

I find it illogical to believe that only people with perfect teeth can eat at Wendy's or be at risk. Wendy's is guilty of fraudulent and misleading advertising as I never saw a disclaimer in any of their commercials. They do show in their ads people of all ages eating at Wendy's. It is common knowledge that few people have perfect teeth.

If eating at Wendy's is a risk then the public should be notified of such and Wendy's should advertise a disclaimer when promoting itself.

Nearly $5000?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 12, 2007

Nearly $5000 to repair a tooth?

Hardly!

A veneer repair (in my days we called them caps) around here costs about $800.

A full implant replacement tooth is about $1100.

So what makes YOUR tooth repair cost nearly $5000 as you claim?

You don't state anything about biting into anything hard that might have broken your tooth. Also, many elderly folks have cracked teeth and don't know it. My grandmother had a tooth break when she was eating a banana. When she went to the dentist (I took her) he explained that the tooth must have been cracked before she ate the banana.

I had a hockey puck break one of my front teeth and the entire procedure, root canal and cap, was about $800.

This report makes me wonder where's the rip-off?

The SANDWICH...Come on!!

AUTHOR: LEENA - (U.S.A.)

Unfortunately, the sandwich DID NOT break your tooth. What broke your tooth was a mixture of normal tooth breakdown due to age and a p**s poor dentist who should have seen and alerted you to this. If you feel the need to complain, take it out on your lousy dentist who didn't diagnose your tooth disrepair rather than the restaraunt who had no fault in the matter. Then go find a new dentist.

Wendy's Frescata Can Break A Tooth!

AUTHOR: Shelia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 03, 2007

I was tried a Frescata sandwich for the first time when biting down on it broke off my tooth. I was told you take a risk upon yourself everytime you eat out. If you get injured
eating restaurant food you can't hold the restaurant liable. This is irresponsible in my opinion.

what caused the tooth to break off?

AUTHOR: LEENA - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 03, 2007

Unless you bit into a hard foreign object in your food, then it is not the restaraunt's responsibility to pay your dental bills and it's unfair to blame them. WAS there an object in your food? Or did your tooth just break?
