I have a Swissgear bag that was given to me. I don't have a receipt.  It has a life time warranty.  the clasp for the strap broke and now the zipper is broken. They will not warranty. Although they admit its thier bag. 

My grandmother bought it because of tis warranty. I don't use it every day only when I travel. So, Although its 3 years old, it was only used occasionally. Who keeps receipts anyway?

 

Don't buy these bags thinking that they will have liftime warranty.
