I ordered the Wen hair care shampoo/conditioner starter kit. I only wanted a one time supply. After ordering, I went on to their website and noticed their was not an option to not have the supply automatically shipped and billed.
I tried several different ways to contact them, but time got by me and I did not follow up. On, March 13, 2012 they tried to debit my check card for the amount of $38.94. Luckily, it did not go through. I called the number from my information that came in my order. 1-800-964-1892.
I spoke to someone young man in billing. He was very polite and did everything I asked.
Well, this morning, March 14, 2012, they tried the card again. It did not go through. This time, I tried to call and did not get an answer.
I contacted my bank and made them aware.
Other than that, I am trying to find out legal ways to expose this scam company.

Wen Hair Care by Chaz Dean

AUTHOR: mickeyloughlin - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 15, 2012

This past February 2012, a purchase was made to the company Wen by Chaz Dean for the product
"Wen Healthy Hair Care system."
It was purchased by going to their website, www.wenhaircare.com, selecting the product, and using their online payment system. An authorized payment, for this purchase only, was made.
Once the product(s) are authorized and payment made, the consumer is now considered a
"home-delivery customer." Right here is where they break the Fair Trade Agreement guidelines.
These guidelines make it very clear what must be followed. It states, amoung other things, companies
"... should make the cancellation process easy and transparent to the consumer."
This company failed to honor the Fair Trade Act in many ways.
Please go to Ftc.gov for more information about these guidelines.
To the public eye, their business practices appear "good enough"so they slide under the "scam alert!"
If you read the FTC guidelines for companies, it shows the guidelines they must follow.
This company has adapted these guidelines and that's where the problem lies.
They must follow them as a "blueprint" and they can not change it in any way. They have used very subtle ways and that is called a scam.
File a complaint with the FTC, that's the best way to expose them.
Actually, that is the only way!
