i went to work for this company and they give you a three to five day training where they tell you that you are not selling anything and that the pay is good. when you actually get out on the floor to take calls from customers that are activating their Sear's credit cards you are forced to to sell account care and alot of other items that may come up on the screen.

i have the problem with the fact that these people will come right off from the start of the call and tell you that they don't want anything else but their card activated, so i go a head and activate their card and later i am giving sheet where the company called themselves giving us a q and a and i get marked down for not reading all the screens even when that customer already said no right at the start of the phone call.

durning training we were told that their was no selling, but we all later found out that this was a lie told to us, when we came out said we were told in training that we were not going to sell anything we were told we weren't told that. now out of a full class why would we all say we were told this?

the company don't have a set pay, they have this scale that they use were yu get 6.50 a hour unless you work all five to seven days a week then you get the difference of 7.50 a hour which is about 1.00. now the trick to this is if yu are sick they will only pay you the 6.50 a hour and make you use your personal time off to off set their budget.

on holidays (thanksgiving, christmas, new years, easter, fourth of july, memorial day, labor day) you have to work even though Sear's is closed, what it comes down to is you are stuck working with no time off and don't ask for the time off because you will get it denied. you are made to work outrageous shifts and they tell you that they will work with your schedule which is another lie. my schedule was four am to twelve thirty and then they will have you stay later at times. the time clock is your computer which everybody know s that sometimes the system has problems, in which their system always had problems everyday.

i had come to work were over half of the computers were down and you could nt use them and then you are late clocking in and you get in trouble for that, or if a screen don't come up when its suppose to you get in trouble for that to. the company has a policy that you have to watch what you say over the phone because you are being taped at all times, well there was a day when i had taking a call from a manager for the company and i had to listen to him talk about female parts over the phone when i reported this to my team lead i was told " he is our manager and basically he can talk like this when he wants to"

i taking this matter to the team leader and he taking it to his boss and she taking it to her boss and it was a investigation , which turned out to be nothing , nw if it was me or anybody els e we would had gotten fired on the spot so again is double standard. three days later i was told i was fired for sleeping when i was not sleeping and they knew this because i had told them everybody's conversation around me .

i had a serious medical condition in which they all knew ath the time and i was due to go in for major surgery for this problem. when i asked them to talk to witnesses i was told they did but i later found out that they did not talk to anybody at all and they just wanted to get rid of me for the reporting i did when i went to file unemployment, unemployement said they had no reason to fire me and that this would be a good lawsuite against them, because they had fired many people over some outrageous things and they would not be able to win this.

customers started cancelling the Sear's cards including myself for this outrageous practice.
