I needed major work done in my mouth, so I decided after seeing many commercials that I would go to Western Dental. My experience there was really horrible.

I was rushed around and only half the things I was there for on that visit would get taken care of. For instance, I had to go in for them to make impresions for dentures, well, they did, after and instead of measuring my bite, he was rushed for time so he said I would have to come back next time for the bite. I came in the very next week, which is about 30 miles from my home, only to wait 75 min. than taken back and it took 2 min for him to let me make bite. Why not have done this the week before? They have been told how far I live.

That isn't even the reason for this post though. I had made my first 6 payments on time with no problems. In Aug. I got laid off and could only pay $100, which was $15 short. I didn't read my contract but it states if I have any balance 10 days after bill is due I encure a $25 late fee. Ok fine, I called to find out how much my Sept. payment should be and why I was charged $25. She expalined it to me and I was satisfied. Before I could hang up she said Mr. Skidmore don't worry we will gladdly take that $25 fee off as a courtousy, I was overwelmed because I did not ask to. I thanked her and asked now my Sept. bill should include the $15 extra I was unable to pay last month correct? She asked me to hold and then came back and said no sir just make your payment of $115 and everything will be okay. I hung up satisfied.

I payed the $115 as instructed and figured the extra $15 was being put to the rear of my bill. To my suprise I got another bill saying I owed $40. I instantly knew what had happened. The girl didn't put it to the rear of my contract and was being billed $25 on top of the $15 I was instructed to not worry about, so I made another call.

After 30 plus minutes on the phone, the "person in charge" said yes we see you talked to someone because a fee was waved, but there is no proof she told you to only pay $115, but at the least she should have told you to make sure you payed the $15 you were in the rear for. So he said he would wave the fee and said how sorry he was, told me to make sure I pay the extra $15 with my Oct. bill so there would be no more problems, I did just that.

Now in Oct. they are telling me I owe $50 late fees because I never paid last months late fee and after 10 day grace they charged me another $25. I made another call, this time a supervisor would not listen to a word I said. He just told me again and again why I was being charge this money and when I wanted to speak to his boss it took me 10 minutes until I started to scream, than he got his boss and he told me that my account says that late fees have been lifted 5 times to my account and treated me like I was a fool.

I have had the account since Feb. I have only been late 1 time in Aug. He could not tell me how there were 5 late charges dismissed when I was only late once. When i asked what his bosses name was, he finaly (after another 10 minutes) gave me his name. I hung up called back to speak to "the boss" and no one would let me speak to him and I was transfered back to the same guy that was giving me such crap.

My main reason for writing this is to let people know that if they are told they are removing a fee or for what ever reason you need to contact them, if you want them to live up to what they are saying you had better tape record the conversation. I have been told more than once oh sorry they told you that, do you have proof? No well you owe us than. Make sure you get the stuff e-mailed to you or something.

Instead of being treated as a valued customer, I am treated as someone who will not pay his bill, also I was told seeing how I would not make arrangements for them to take the money everymonth directly from my bank account, that I copuld not guarentee that I will be paying every month on time. What a joke! Again nine months and only one time have been late!...... Russell
