Western Dental Modesto Dishonest Ripoff about services rendered filthy conditions No call backs from mgrs Modesto California
Western Dental has not only destroyed a tooth that was merely needing a crown due to it being chipped - but they are ruining my credit. I've spoken with and emailed at least 10 - 15 different WD representatives and no one will help me. Not only am I now in severe pain because of this... they began the procedure (2/3) knowing that I wouldn't have insurance in one month (2/28) from my initial visit - I INSISTED that they were sure that the crown wouldn't take a month to come in because it wasn't an emergency however since I had the insurance I felt that I should have it fixed - they ASSURED me that under no circumstances would it take that long. Not only did my first visit last over 4 hours and was very painful but the ground down tooth stayed in that condition for over one month.
I phoned and phoned and phoned wanting to know why it was taking so long and to tell them that I was in pain. NO HELP!!! Once it came in my insurance had lapsed and it was either have the crown placed or continue with an exposed tooth ground down to the gum.. the dentist that palced the crown told me that under no circumstances should the tooth had been exposed for that long and i would now need a root canal. They told me that since I had no health insurance I would be responsible for the bill for the root canal... needless to say - I was too scared and in too much pain to even think about taking on a bill I could not pay... The billing woman promised me she would fix the situation with the fact that the tooth took soooo long to come in yet now they are refusing any responsibility for this.
This all occured in February. I called and called to speak with a manager - with always a promise of a return call from her... she just called me Monday (5/21) of this week to tell me that my insurance denied the claim. Well - they knew all along that my insurance stopped at 2/28 - yet never helped to find the crown. I, at one point, had my insurance willing to cover the procedure as I was at NO FAULT for this but WD did not follow through. Just this Monday I spoke to yet ANOTHER representative of Western Dental in the grievance department - she was empathetic and nice - I had told her that every rep I spoke with always promised a call back - yet I never hear from them again.. She PROMISED to call me back after getting in touch with the 'area manager' Sharon - well it's now weds night at 8pm and no one has returned my call. They are sending me to collections over this.
I've worked VERY hard to improve my credit over the past few years and now it will be ruined over a procedure that should have been performed within the scope of my insurance guidelines. PLUS - now they are telling me that the crowns NEVER come in in under one months time.. well my question to them is than WHY did they not tell me that when I let them know that my insurance lapsed in one month? They never have an answer...
