Western Dental Will not give detailed billing to prove services Clovis California

Was told the day of service that after BOTH of my insurances paid, I'd owe only $60. They did not say "estimated" either. Then I get half a cleaning. No scraping of tartar only that pasty stuff. Still went home feeling dirty teeth. 2 sets of x-rays because first set supposedly did not take. They both looked identical to me. I felt it was unnecessary. Rec'd only 1 filling and still have 2 teeth that have tiny holes in them that were not mentioned as needing any fillings.

I rec'd a bill for $191 saying that my insurances had both paid and this is what I owed. I called them and requested a detailed billing to prove the services. They said they don't 'do' that type of thing. Well I told them they better start and to send me one or I wouldn't pay. I told them that 1 set of x-rays was their fault not mine so I did not feel I needed to pay for both. The girl I talked to said there was nothing I could do so I set up monthly payments of $60 to pay off the $191. I got tons of 'collection' calls with rude people telling me to pay my bill or else. And I told them to talk to the girl that I had talked to, mentioned her name, and they refused to do so and kept leaving nasty messages on my machine. I paid $120 total and then I quit paying because I still had no detailed billing in my hand. I finally sent them the remaining $71 just because I was sick of dealing with the calls. AND I wrote them a letter stating that by cashing my $71 they bind themselves to remove all the 'late charges' and close out my account. If they cashed my check and came after the late charges, that I would file charges with the law if possible, report them to the BBB and other methods of making them lose some business. I mailed it out last week. Will see what happens, but I do not recommend this company. They are like a chain store and think they can get away with over-billing.
