I had a HORRIBLE experience with Westminster Garage between the dates of 9/6/12 and 9/15/12. On 9/6/12 I called and asked the cost for diagnosis on my truck's AC and Transmission and Sylvia stated $42.50 (then I heard her lightly say, "For that 1/2 hour."). Later, when I arrived, I met her husband David. I told him of my recent AC recharge that leaked out
and that, that garage refunded the freon cost & told me to have the leak fixed. I also told David that my truck's gears weren't shifting right on the highway. He said diagnosis for fixing my AC and diagnosing my transmission would be $85. I agreed to that amount and he said he'd call me in about A Hour. David called me the Next Day and said that he found nothing wrong with my AC and put a new cap & pin at no charge. He told me the total? with 2 lbs. freon came to $159.00. Later, when my boyfriend and I arrived to pick up the truck David again said, "I did everything I could and did not find a leak" and "let me know if you have any problems; I guarantee my work."

On 9/7/12, on Invoice# 1332, for my Nissan Xterra 175471, my boyfriend paid $290.49 on his credit card for: labor santiago -1 AC recharge $85.00, Parts -2 Freon $63.98, Parts -1 muffler $115 (we ordered per David's recommendation and David said he'd call when it's in, in 5 days), Shop Supplies $10.50??, and tax $16.01!

2-3 days later my AC was not working and I asked my boyfriend to call it in. The guy who answered said to bring the truck back in but my boyfriend told him we're waiting on a muffler and will bring the truck in when the muffler's in. Friday, 9/14/12 I called asking if the muffler's in & the guy said, "It's been in." I told him that I was supposed to receive a call & hadn't. I told him I would bring my truck the next day.

So, Saturday, 9/15/12 I took my truck back to Westminster Garage, met Roy, and expressed my frustration about the AC not working and not receiving a call on the muffler. Roy said he'd look at the AC and that David would arrive later. Only 3 hours later I received call from Roy and he told me that both AC hoses were bad and that each would be $100-$200! I was FURIOUS and asked, "You're saying that after David guaranteed his work and the freon leaked out again I now have to pay another $300 to get my AC fixed?" Roy said, "Yes." I told him not to do anything more to my truck and that I was going back to get a refund.

When I arrived with my Sister, Roy explained the costs once again. I, again, stated that my original quote from David was $85 and my boyfriend paid $159 for some freon and unknown "shop supplies." And that I want a refund of $74. Roy went and got David. David came in and I had my boyfriend on speaker phone. I explained to David that the AC leaked out and that he had guaranteed his work and that I wanted a refund of $74. David said he's not refunding any money and that he spent several hours on my truck. I said, "That's not my fault." I reviewed with David again that he had told me to let him know if I had any problems and that he guarantees his work.

My boyfriend chimed in & asked, "How many days did you have the truck?" David said, "Two." I said, "You had my truck for 2 days and in just 3 hours, today, Roy found that the hoses were bad." David said I could go ahead and do my own hoses and he'd do another recharge free.Then my sister chimed in asking, "So you're going to do the hoses?" David put out is hand in front of her face and said, "I'm not going to even talk to you." I couldn't believe he did that!

I told him that, no, I didn't want anymore work done; I just want the refund of $74. David said, "You can take me to court if you want your money and I'm no longer going to do ANY work for you."  I said, "Then I guess there's nothing more to discuss." As I walked out I said, "I'm very disappointed in you."

Later, I found the opened muffler box in my back seat with a dented muffler in it. Just another upsetting part of my experience with Westminster Garage.
