Westway Moving & Transport Ripoff, Late pick-up, late delivery, charged double the estimate, charged Visa without authorization, lots of damage, dishonest! Calgary Alberta

Hired this company to move us from Airdrie, Alberta to Drayton Valley, Alberta..approx. 300 kilos. Supposed to load on June 29/05 at 8AM or earlier, did not show until after 1PM. Loaded until after 9:30PM. Supposed to show up at destination at noon on June 30/05, no show until after 8PM.

Took until 4AM the following morning to offload. Over $1500.00 damage to house we left, broken and damaged goods and furniture during move, items placed in wrong rooms (clearly marked) i.e. kitchen goods placed in basement crawl space and vice versa, reassembled dismantled furniture incorrectly or not at all. Total cluster!!

Quote by the owner of the company of $3191.00, billed $6200.00+. Told to sign unauthorized Visa or goods would be taken back to Calgary and put in storage at additional cost to us. So what choice did we have... virtually 2 choices, pay or let our stuff go back. Fortunately, Visa was able to reverse much of the charges, but a very lengthy process is required to do this. We are still ripped for over $1000.00 excess charges.

In a nutshell LATE... DISHONEST... INEXPERIENCED AND CARELESS!!!
