Please avoid this finance company. This is my 2nd vehicle financed from them, the 1st has been payed off. After paying 4 out of the 5 years i found myself behind of payments (90days). I recieved a message at work claiming rick from WFS needed to speak with me urgently, I recieved the message 2 days after it was left. the next morning I recieved a call at home at 6:45AM, Rick from WFS saying that he needs to pick up the car and I need to remove all my personal belongings from it.

HE said they'd been trying to contact me by phone leaving numerous messages. All I recieved was the past due bill, a letter from a 3rd party asking me to call a 1-800 #, with no reference to the account, and the 2 calls from Rick from the previous 2 days. I don't even have an answering machine at home so I know the only messages they left were at work, and that was after I asked them not to call at work due to company policy and my supervisor brought it to my attention. After making WFS aware they continued and I felt they were constantly harrassing me.

WFS has taken partial payments from me before and has worked with me in the past, they also sent me a bill asking the past due amount was due now and the rest in a few days. However I did offer to send some money, not the past due amount but that I'd pay any outstanding due amount withing 30 days after that, they refused, told me I had to the end of the day to come up with the money, then didn't hear from them again.

I don't trust WFS at all, they say if I return my car to them I will be able to get it back when I pay them past due amounts and the repo fees, I think they're vultures, this is my last year paying on this car, and i've been this late before yet now that they may have something to gain out of repossessing it they're being vultures and rip offs just as others have proven them to be. And yes they're late fees and penalties are rediculous and unexplainable. This company targets latinos, african americans and any minorities for their financial gain.

Not only do they target minorities, but going into their establishment, they also hire them and use minorities to convince potential minority customers.

Ridiculous comments from an uninformed person

Common sense would tell you that if you are 90 days past due on your car loan, for whatever reason, there probably should be some concern on your part that your vehicle is in jeopardy.

As an employee of WFS, I can tell you that repossessing a vehicle is a costly process that causes my company to lose a great deal of money.

Because of that, we make EVERY attempt to reach the customer in regards to their past due payment. To say that you were not contacted by WFS during any of the 90+ days that you were past due is wildly incorrect. If you do not have an answering machine or allowed calls at your work, how would you expect someone to reach you if you don't answer the phone?

WFS offers several options in regards to helping a customer who is past due catch up - but only if the customer is willing to talk to WFS. If you are screening calls or not returning messages, you are making your own bed - be prepared to sleep in it.
