WFS Financial wrote me a letter saying that they received a report stating that I had no insurance coverage. I sent them proof of my coverage. I asked that the added insurance be taken off of my payments.

I was told by a representative that the coverage could not be taken off once it was added. I expressed that I did not want to pay for insurance that i did not need.

I was connected to a manager. He said that he would take care of the matter. The situation to this date has not been taken care of.

This company has called my house stating that if I don't make payments, that are only ten and 15 days late, that they would send my files to the managers desk for repo actions to begin.

This company has been a thorne in my side since the very first day I staring dealing with them.

AUTHOR: Jenny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2007

Jennifer, i used to work for wfs and i've seen plenty of problems just like yours, there is a way to definitely get the issue settled in a timely manner.

call the customer service number on your statement, you will be linked to the auto dialers (located in texas) they are not trained well and do not know what they are doing / talking about most of the time. explain to them you will only speak with your local branch and demand to be connected.

once they transfer you, you can speak with whomever handles your account when it is deliquent. explain to them you've had insurance, be prepared to give them your agents name & number, the company that provides insurance, your policy number, and effective dates. they may also want you to fax them the declaration page of your insurance booklet.

make sure when you speak w/ your local branch, you get their phone number so you can call them instead of the auto dialers. if you fax your declaration page, make sure you call back after faxing it to make sure that the lsc (loan service counselor) got it. once he/she is provided with the information, it takes up to 5 business days to be updated to your account. once it is updated, the balance of insurance that you've already paid will be credited to your account.

i hope this helps!
