Wheel Works ripoff, Thieves, Con-artists, Lying Crooks Santa Cruz California

I took in my own air shocks (bought by me online); still in the package to your Santa Cruz (Front Street) store this last Saturday.

These were to replace the 2 airshocks (rear) that were already on the vehicle.

I opened up the package and showed the man (Steve...the older fat man) the shocks and the full kit including tubing, valve, etc. and asked if he could install them. He gave me an outrageous quote, ($170, for labor alone); but I was in a hurry so I agreed.

When I came to pick up the car, I noticed that it was much lower than my other toyota (which has functional rear airshocks installed) ; So I asked if they had put air in the shocks and they (lying) said yes, and made a smart-a*s remark about also putting air into the windshield, seat etc.

I stupidly drove away to a gas station where I tried to put air into the shocks and got only a hissing sound, with ZERO air pressure on the gauge and then noticed that

1) they had not installed the new tubing and valve but tried to use the old one

2) the old tubing did not fit into this new brand of airshocks, so no airtight connection was made

I called them from my cell phone whereupon Steve continued to lie, saying that they (and I am not kidding here)

1) Did indeed install the new tubing

Whereupon I told him that I was staring at the dirty greasy old (and smaller in diameter), older tubing as we spoke ....I asked him where he put the old tubing and he said (I kid you not)

2) He doesn't have them, they are gone.

When I told him that he had better replace the airshocks the next day, he weaselled and said to bring it in.

I brought it in and of course he did nothing, said there is nothing he could do about it whereupon I got irate and told him I wasnt leaving until I got a refund.

Then the lying weasel called the police, who of course sympathized with me but could do nothing calling it a "civil matter".

These are lying scumbags and I will see them in small claims court, and they will not see a dime one from my bank account.
