I've purchased Whirlpool Duet Front-loading Washer & Drier ENERGY STAR Qualified on 5/15/04 with 1year service warrenty. My washer started to make huge noise starting December. Whirlpool keeps sending me different service companies to fix it. I already had 3 companies over my house (A&E factory,Metrofactory service and United Appliences). A&E appliences has been twice and changed some parts. Metrofactory service has been over ones and they told me that they have found coines in my washer but to the Whirlpool they gave a falce report stating that the problem is in my floor which other servises told me that it's not true the problem is only in my washer. Before the 3rd United Appl came in,I've called Whirlpool and demended that they change the difected product. The representetive tald me that they will send me United Appl. to detect a problem and if they say that the problem is indeed in the washer they will change it. I agreed. United Appl. checked the washer, I've showed them the reportes from A&E(what they were changing) and they told me that Whirlpool should replace the washer and that they will give a report that the problem is in it.
After United Appl. visit I've called to Whirlpool and they tald me that United Appl. gave a report to the Whirlpool technical dept. and that they decided to order some parts. I've asked which parts. They named me the same parts that were already replaced by A&E. When I've explained that to them, Whirlpool stated the nonsense that those parts that A&E replaced could be defective and therefore they will be changing them again. United Appl. have been over my house on 3/23/05, today is already 4/14/05, I just called to Whirlpool and they just got my parts. I have only 1 mth left till my warrenty expires. I cann't find anyone in Whirlpool who is responsible, because I was told that their technical dept. is deciding upon defectivness of the products and if they think that the washer can be fixed, based on the reports given to them over the phone from different service companies they will keep fixing it. They will keep changing the same parts to my washer over and over, till my warrenty expires.
PS
I've paid more then $2000 for this Duet
I strongly believe, that if Whirlpool cann't fix the washer they should be responsible to replace it with the new one (even if I have only service warrenty).

1ST WHATS IS THIS BIG NOISE?What parts did A&E replace? Whirlpool will never replace it! so get use to getting parts replaced. They are good units if your floor is strong and you check you pockets for thing that will put a hole in the rubber bellows, and drain from tub to strainer..Define the noise as clicking, howling, banging, high pitch wine,

The top of the line Whirlpool Duet Washer (GHW9400) has an MSRP of $1399. If you paid over $2000 for this washer you were Ripped off by your Duet dealer, but not by Whirlpool.
Love my Duet
