Placed order for 508 life insurance leads. Did not receive any of them.
On 2/12/2013, I spoke with Mike Fohne and decided to place an order for life insurance leads. The order number on my Confirmation of Order is 22557 and my customer number is 9091549. The total amount of leads I purchased was 508 for a grand total of $131.51.
On the date I placed the order, 2/12/2013, I asked Mike if I could receive the leads that same day (Tuesday) and he said that leads are distributed twice a week and the next distribution date would be Thursday, the 14th. I agreed to go through with the order and provided my Mastercard number to Mike. Mike said that my card would not be charged until I had read, signed and faxed back the Confirmation of Order.
However, that afternoon on the same day (the 12th), the full amount of $131.51 had been debited from my account and I had not sent back the Confirmation of Order at that time. I still wanted to go through with the order since he said the leads would not be ready until Thursday anyway. On Thursday, the 14th, I had not received my leads as promised so I called Whitehall wanting to speak with Mike, however, the person that answered the phone identified himself as the owner (did not provide his name) and said that Mike was busy but asked if he could help me instead.
I told the "owner" that I had not received my leads and that I was upset with my card being charged ON TUESDAY, even though I had not faxed in the Confirmation of Oorder, and since they had charged my card ANYWAY, that I was entitled to the 508 leads I already paid for on the date of delivery, which was supposed to be THAT DAY (Thursday). He got very irrate with my refund request and accused me of being mentally unstable and questioned my business practices and refused to refund my money.
He stated that it was their policy to run the credit cards for payment BEFORE receiving the Confirmation of Order, however, Mike Fohne told me that no charges would be placed UNTIL the Confirmation of Order was submitted. Either way, I still wanted my leads so I did not get upset on Tuesday when my card was run (even though they contradicted their company policy and what they told me), but I did get very upset on Thursday when I had yet to receive my leads.
He assured me that they were going to be emailed to me during the afternoon Pacific Time (since they are on Eastern Time) and said that he would see to resolving the issue personally. As of today, 2/16/2013, I have not received any of the 508 leads that I purchased.
