Wilahelmina Sheridian a.k.a. Willy Sheridian Discriminating Money Hungry Landlord! Rip-off! Paul Smiths New York

I am writing this report to inform the public and this person's place of employment about the disciminatory acts and unlawful acts performed as a landlord and an employee of a medical/mental heath care provider.

Wilahelmina Sheridian, or "Willy" as she calls herself, is quite a character. On most occasions she would call myself or my roommate's at unreasonable times during the night to make arrangements to collect rent that same night (10pm - 12am) or to harass us about small petty things that can wait until morning.

The most recent of these acts occurred in the last 2 days. On Monday, November 1, 2004, we received a phone call at about 10:30pm. The topic of the call was for her to come down to the apartment that night, meaning around midnight, to collect rent. After advising her that the lease stated that we have 5 days to pay said rent before late fees and/or legal action is taken. Also advise Willy that because we either work or are on a fixed income, such as SSI/SSD, that the rent would be paid promtly on the 4th. Willy then stated that it wasn't her problem and that if we paid late she would increase the rent.

On Tuesday, November 2, 2004, she arrived at the appartment at 6:30pm, not quite a resonable time, to collect rent. We again informed her that because of when all of our checks come in we would not be able to pay until the 4th. She then turned to my roommate and asked in a loud voice "is there something wrong with his(me) brain? Does he have some sort of mental illness? Is he some sort of retard that he doesn't understand what I(Willy) am saying? At that point I took offense to what she had said because I have a mental health diagnosis. She then said that we have 30 days to vacate the apartment. When I told her that what she is doing is discrimination and harassment she said that "I work with enough of you mental retards, that nobody would believe your case."

So again I want to express to anyone looking to rent an apartment, DO NOT rent from Wilahelmina Sheridian. Also if you receive services from the Plattsburgh Health Center be aware that this person works there and that she has no compassion or care about the mentally ill.
