We were promised an internet speed that would be 30 times faster than our dial-up. To make a long story short, Wild Blue  did not deliver what they promised. I called their office and they told me to pay more for the faster speed and that would help. It did not help so I cancelled the service in March.

Now they want me to pay $15 per month for 24 months for something they did not provide.  I cancelled our account in March and Wild Blue said they would send a box to send the modem back. We did not receive it. We called in again, they said I had to email the company. I emaild several times and they finally replied and said I had to call to cancel my account (which I did 2 months before this).

So, I called again and now I owe them $408. I explained that I didn't think it was fair to charge me monthly for a service they did not deliver. They just said this was their policy. The box to send the modem back finally arrived a month later.
I received a notice that since I have not paid the service they were suspending my account. This was dated May 31, 2011, over two months after I called to cancel. Now I supposedly owe them 182.12.

It keeps going in circles.

Today, August 8, 2011,  I received an email  stating that I now owe them $728. I called in again, same old routine. I asked for a supervisor. She said a speed test was performed on our computer and it passed back in April. I said I talked to a technician and he had me look up on a map what the speed was closest to us. That was a place in Iowa. Just because their speed passed, it was not working on our computer.

I could not get this through to the supervisor. So, I then asked where their nearest office was and what time they were open. Oh they are open 24 hours a day. I said what time can I physically come into your office and discuss this. They don't allow people to come in. Big surprise.

I strongly urge anyone thinking of using their services to steer clear of such a rip-off.

Did I mention they put the dish on our roof, where we specifically did not want it? It was supposed to be on the side of the house or on a pole. We did not want it on the roof. Now they want us to crawl up there to take down some piece of equipment  off to send back to them. They finally agreed to come and remove it themselves, Sept. 12.

I'm still not sure if they cancelled my account.
