Bill, I do not know how much you know about the TCT/Wilhelmina scam. There is a lot of information on this site about it. I suggest you research it under all its variations; these can be found listed in the story on the Home Page and there are a bunch of them. I am not going to go into all of it because I prefer to address some of the other issues you have raised. It is all here, look for it.

You are making a mistake waiting for any branch of the Federal Government to do diddly about this scam. Or even the State of Florida, although your letter writing skills might be put to good use by writing to Governor Jeb Bush. Ask him why the State of Florida nurtures so d**n many scam companies! Believe me, TCT/Wilhelmina is just the tip of the iceburg in Florida.

The governments main objective on every level from county on up is to keep the money flowing in. Since our government now seems to consist of a mix of democracy with a dash of socialism, stirred up with a pinch of communism, money has become more important than individual citizens. This mixed-breed form of government utilizes all the most expensive features of each ingredient, necessitating lots of money being required to keep it going. (Our original Constitutional Republic would be much lower maintenance, but that is a whole nother issue.)

I imagine that money is the reason these scams are tolerated in Florida and all over this country. Who makes it, who gets it, and who ultimately winds up with it has a great bearing on what is tolerated and for how long. Which politicians palms are greased, how much comes into the coffers. Justice does not seem to be an issue these days; who cares about justice as long as the dough rolls in?

As for your question: Why cant this website take some action? I am not sure whether to laugh or cry over that one.

This site is providing a forum for the victims of scams to report what has occurred. By doing so, it has garnered a great deal of attention from the national press who have finally begun doing some real investigation into the TCT scheme and others. That is extremely important in a day and age when no one in power seems to care much. The press has to absolutely shame the people with the power to stop these crooks into doing their jobs!

I have visited this site with some frequency for about three years now. It lets me know who and what to look out for and has made me very aware of issues that need to be addressed.

For as long as I have been coming here, this site has been fighting several lawsuits filed against it by TCT from several states. I imagine the grounds are the usual: trademark infringement, defamation, removal of posts, and monetary restitution, yadda, yadda. They may also be pressing for the identities of posters for the purpose of suing each one individually. The only way to know for sure if you are interested is to contact the ED. (By the way, this is only one of well over a dozen suits against this site).

Keep in mind that nine-tenths of defamation suits are bogus, filed by real scammers who are just totally POd that anyone has the gall to expose them publicly! So, you see, Bill, this site is doing plenty in the way of taking action. Every day it fights at great expense to itself for YOUR First Amendment Right to be heard in a free and open forum without fear of retribution.

In this day of Who gives a care politicians and money-hungry-at-citizens-expense government, this is very important. If we lose this right, the scammers, both political and private sector, will truly have us at their mercy. It scares me to see how far these scamsters have been able to carry on with these crap lawsuits. We cannot wait on the judicial system either; it is as screwed up as the other two branches!

I would say that this site is on the FRONT LINES of our revolution. Trying to dodge bullets from every direction and keep itself going. Much of it is behind the scenes, but that makes it no less real. This fight is for you and me and all the rest of the hundreds of victims posting here.

What more can you possibly ask of it?

They are violating Federal law. I bet they never paid their Worker's Compensation Insurance either. Part of this scam is the classification of their workers. They never planned on paying people anything. They just want people to hand out cards as "independent contractors" but don't meet the tests the IRS require.

Plus, sir, you live in a state whose heritage is corrupt. You expected more? However, don't feel bad. The Feds aren't any cleaner.

What the Hell is wrong with this country? The IRS goes after the easy cases, because they hire pea-brains, who can't handle much more than something easy. Why can't this website take some action? I see a lot of talk, but where's the action?

If people get frustrated enough there may be NEED for another revolution!
