A good looking guy approached me on a dating site, using the name of Adventuredad51. We got along well and he was palnning to move to S.A. for to work a company, Sasol on pipelines. After about 3 weeks he asked me to lend him some money as his son, Keith, aged 9yrs had food poisioning and had been admitted to hospital. They would not start the treatment until the money was paid over. He was asking for 600USD. I did not have the money but managed to send 330USD. All was fine, saying the Keith was out of hospital and very grateful for what i had done. I had spoken to Keith a few times when i phoned. He then was telling me how much money he made working in Nigeria, and sengt a false bank draft- 350,000USD as proof. He then asked for money to open an account to clear this bank draft. This was about 1 week after the money for Keith's hospital bill. 3 days later, at about 10 at night i got a phone call from a Dr Melanie saying that he had been shot in a bank robbery and was critial, in ICU in the Progressive Cottage Hospital in Lagos. We couldn't trace this hospital. She constantly phone me asking me for the money, at first it was 1,500USD to hire a surgeon to remove the bullet, but then changed to 700USD when i said that i didn't have the money. I had also spoke to his "son", who definitely was not the same child i had spoken to when i phoned on a personal level.

I started searching for him on the net, and found that while he was supposed to be "critically ill" he was on the datehookup site. A friend anf myself created another log-on to this site and he started chatting her up. I then had a phone call from the "Dr Melanie" again begging me for the money to save his life" I casually told her to "tell  WIlliam to get off the internet". He blocked my friend and i have not heard from them again.

I am reporting this as i have been hurt in the process never mind being made a fool of as he was arriving in S.A. this past Thursday 29th Aprl'10.

I have also traced him to a religous site, Tangle. He has had such a sad life, being orphaned at 11yrs, brough up by a catholic priest, wife dying giving birth to the 2nd child,etc, etc.

What a dog. Ladies beware of this guy, currently known as William L Andrews. He goes by this name on al the sites he had joined. Who knows it will most properly change tomorrow. I also think that the photos he displays are not of him as he did not want to talk using Skype of anything else!!
