I posted a group of 4 appliances on craigslist for $1350 for all 4. I got the following email -
Hello,
Thanks for the prompt response to my mail. I will be buying it from you so please kindly withdraw the advert from the web as i will be adding $50 for the removal. Please to be informed that i will be paying you with a certified bank check and once you have the check cashed at your bank then i will arrange for the pick up at your place..I will need the following details to mail the payment as soon as possible.

Please get back to me asap.
Creepy and more than a suspicious. I didn't reply or do anything but post on here.

Good thing to not respond. What he'll do is send you a bogus certified check for way more than you asked for, and ask you to send some of the cash back to him. Your bank will actually accept the check and give you cash, but later will find out it is bogus and you will be on the hook for the money.
