Windsor Music - Salvatore Raia - Joseph Raia is a dead beat customer Owes me $2663.09 for Heating Oil Windsor Connecticut

"You know me" and "I am good for it" says 74 year old Salvatore Raia of Windsor Music. He never paid $2663.09 worth of heating oil delivered to his place of business and housing complex. My husband and I own a mom and pop heating oil company out of Windsor, CT. For 2 years we delievered oil to Sal Raia and his son Joe at Windsor Music. We are strictly C.O.D. Last year, Sal requested that he be given some time to pay the oil deliveries. I told him that we do all our business C.O.D. and that he might want to go with another company that offers budget plans. He said their prices are too expensive and "you know me"..he said he would pay within 10 days. I agreed to "help him out" in these rough times. And we always helped him out with free burner re-starts all the time. We usually charge $50! The last time he paid us was on July 8,2008 for two outstanding bills from March and April 2008. He hand wrote on the receipt copy "Bal. will be paid in August or sooner". He has the original receipts and we mailed him copies, upon his request 2 times. I called him in August and he said that the balance of $2663.09 "seemed to much." He said that he would "look into it after he comes back from vacation in Florida." The nerve!! We can't even afford to go on vacation with our 6 children! I have not heard from him since.

Today 12/2/08 we spoke with Joe Raia, his son at Windsor Music who ordered many a delivery from us, said only his father pays the bills and he does not know where he is. These two men are swift business people who are cut throat and will cheat anyone out of a dime to get ahead. We made deliveries to Windsor Music at 95 Poqounock Ave Windsor CT totaling $2669.09. The total includes no late fees like other companies tack on. We just want our money for the oil.
