Windstream Communications said that I did not call them to cancel service and moved out and they kept the billing cycle going unitl Sept 6th 2013 Elizabethtown Kentucky

I am writing to you to tell you that I recieved a bill from Windstream Communications in the amount of $156.43 and I called and talked to a woman this morning and I explained this situation to her and she said this bill is still valid..I had changed banks and they tried to run the bill through the old bank and I wanted this service cut off in August and it was not shut off until Sept 16th 2013 ...I told the woman who I called that I was moving and to shut the service off on August 1st and they did this because of a billing cycle to get their full amount for the month of August....when they run the first payment through the old bank I had they charged me a return check fee for $30.00 and a $35.00 activation fee which was suppose to be free for new accounts when I signed up and then gave another $5.00 credit and now they say I owe $156.42 for July and August...I will not pay for August I told the woman that I talked to that it was suppose to be shut off on the 1st of August and they waited until the 16th....that is their problem for that not mine...I owe $72.24 and that is it...if they agree to that amount then I have no problem paying it but if they don't I won't pay nothing at all..I had trouble with the Interenet modem box all the time and to shut down the Computer and turn it back on and I reported this number of times and all they could say was we are sorry and you can take the box back to the office close to you and reissue you another and then caused so much problems and the service was slow and not worth having...I refuse to pay the full amount and I agree with the $72.24 but not the $156.43 and I won't pay it....I have also reported this complaint to BBB and they did nothing about it and did not contact me in anyway by phone or by letter to resolve this issue and that is why I am filing a report with you....Thank You for taking the time to report this for me....
