SEO Reputation Management at its best!

We were contacted by Bobby Stanley from WizKid Marketing as a response to an ad we placed online for our services.  In his email, he said he could setup an email marketing plan for us that would "get our phone to ring".

He went on to say that they had large databases of people who had opted in for different types of services and they had a very high response rate.  We asked for references and were given three, yet only were able to reach one.  The one we reached (who was in another state) gave them a favorable response.

Bobby sent us an invoice and a Client Message Form that need to be filled out with the phone, email and message we wanted to send.  He suggested we set up a separate email, just for the campaign.  They would also help with editing the message.

When asked Bobby to split up the campaign to see how it worked and they offered it into two runs, one week apart.  Bobby said that since there was significant up front work, they would not be able to start the campaign without the first payment paid. Bobby said they could accept either a wire or check, we sent a wire on 6/30/10 which he said they would cover the cost.  Since it would take them several days to program and setup the campaign, they would try to run it on 7/5/10, but definitely on 7/6/10.
. [continued below]....
We spoke with Bobby everyday except July 4th, he even answered the phone on Saturday.  He said everything was on schedule for the 7/5/10 run time.  He even commented how the process would work.  Within the first hour, we would get auto responders, then emails and phone calls.  He said WizKid would adjust the message and "data" after the the first run if the response was not good.

The campaign was supposed to run in the morning of 7/5/10.  By mid afternoon, we had no responses and Bobby said that the data loading was taking a while, but it would go out.  By the end of 7/5/10, we still had nothing.  We were then told that they had a server problem and it may take 1-2 days to get the campaign out.

On the morning of 7/6/10 after more follow-ups with Bobby, we were told it would go out by the afternoon.  Then we were told definitely by 11am on 7/7/10.

At 6:43pm EST on 7/7/10, we get a call from a Ryan who said the campaign was all set to go out, he just had a few questions.  When we called him back he said he handled the IT for the company.  He verified the info, and said everything looked fine.  Ryan even commented on how he would split up the data.  He said they would run it that night and we should have responses by the morning.

When we had no responses the morning of 7/8/10, we called Ryan just before 10am est and asked him what happened.  He said something about how the responses would be delayed until the morning due to how the server processes the campaigns.

We have had no responses from the campaign.  There was no confirmation that a campaign was ever run (as Bobby told us we would get).  Our phone calls or emails have not been returned from anyone in the company since that time.
