what???

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 30, 2008

I can't imagine match.com seeking out credit card numbers and arbitrarily charging people for services not rendered. I used match.com for a little while and they charged me what they were supposed to and when I was done, canceling was simple. I just followed the directions. My guess is someone in your family signed up and didn't bother reading the terms and conditions or how to cancel. Someone isn't fessing up.

FYI - I am getting married 8/8/08 to a woman I met through match.com.

~Charles

PS: I can't attest to 'fake' accounts, but I actually saw profiles on there of people I know and I went on dates with several nice ladies and they were all indeed real.

Match=fraud. Demand creditcard halt charges or cancel card

Match.com is criminal company - they mislead and make unauthorized charges.

The only way to deal with this is to DEMAND that your credit card company open an investigation NO MATTER how many days have gone by.

I called my credit card company and only after I stated that I would close my account and NEVER use them again did they offer to 'hold' that charge and investigate (more than 60 days had gone by before I noticed the charge)

I put my credit card on notice that the charge was fraudulent and that I never
authorized any further charges. Any declaration from MATCH that they can charge you automatically forever is not valid. Using misleading advertising and hiding some absurd rules (no refunds, no authorization for charges) does not make these illegal acts valid. Read more about MATCH on this site, you can see how they mislead and commit fraud. These acts include:

-Having employees pose as interested singles.
-Keeping profiles that don't exist any longer.
-Fabricating profiles.
-Sending out emails to entice clients
-Misrepresenting a guarantee for FREE access. Why did you charge me then?!

The site and the company is criminal.

Protect yourself. IMMEDIATELY change your credit card account number or cancel the card or you will continue to be fraudulently charged!
