Woodforest returned one of my ACH/Direct Debit transactions saying that I had placed a stop payment on the item. In fact, I had done no such thing. This caused my credit card to be voided.
No apology and no help in getting the matter corrected.
Very poor customer service and to boot they never credited my account for the $300.00 when they bounced the transaction!!!
I have faxed and called them numerous times and they say it's the merchant's fault that the item was returned as Payment Stopped. How absurd is that?

As long as I go into the bank, everything is fine. But let mi have to call this bank, these people will make your veins pop in your head!

I got excellent customer service this morning from a regional manager of Woodforest! He really went the distance and then some to make it right.
I revise my opinion one hundred percent. They are great. He said he was alerted to my complaint by the internet so I guess they read here too. Which is a real bonus.
