i had join WOW about 2yrs from now. i had asked them to freeze my account bcuz i would be out of state for a while. this was the email they had sent me.

As of aug. 2007 i started my normal monthly dues again. they had told me that my contract now had extended due to the fact i had frozen my account. so for 4months my account had extended. i had joined on Sept of 2006 to Sept of 2007 now i had added 4months so my contract ended on April 2008..in decmeber i had recieved an email saying...

Thank you for patience as we have worked to research and resolve this
issue for you.

i seemed to be resolved so i waited till july of 08 till i had realized i dont use the gym anymore due to my work schedule. so i had asked the front desk person if i can cancell my month to month basis. and i was told that after my year contract was up I would go to a mos. to mos. basis. and if I were to cancel that it would be no problem and all I had to do was go online n print n sign papers n send it out. i submitted the papers before my monthly due ws up for aug. 08 n they were telling me that it takes up to 90days to cancell my account n still have to pay my month to month dues which is 42.53$ i asked them why should i still pay that amount till my account is cancel they told me that its just the way it goes. i had red my sign contract over n over and it doesnt say anything about im responsible for the monthly dues till my account is cancelled. it doesnt make any sense my account will b closed on NOV.30,2008 n between aug.08-nov 08 im still payin 42.53$ for a gym and without any contract. my one year contract had passed and ended already and cancelling my account it takes up to 90days and still obligated to pay the 42.53 with the time being till nov. 30th it doesnt make any sense..

i had called the billing department at brick township, new jersey and one girl or while explaning to her why im paying or getting charge 42.53$ when i have no contract with wow any more and still paying this due. she HUNG UP ON ME and i called again 2nd person said she cant help me on anything.

I will NEVER go to another work out world again, They were rude, completely unhelpful and not willing to work with me at all. If your gonna join a gym make SURE ITS NOT WORK OUT WORLD!!!! pls pls.. they will just take ur money and not even know it. mayb u will if ur smart enough. to see it..
