World Saving And Loan ripoff charged overdraft fee when money was in bank, they had put a hold on it. I guess they don't need or want the business of an individual that has just a small amount of money. Wichita Kansas

I had been a customer of World Savings for many many years. Maybe in that time 2 at the max 3 times I had an overdraft (everyone can make an error). This time money had not been put in my account that I thought had been put there.

I put a check in my account to cover what overdrafts and fees, plus some, and World Savings put a hold on the money and returned a payment I had made for a credit card payment. My statement showed $900 + dollars in my account when this check was returned. Because of this returned check, I ended up being charged a late fee, a returned check fee, plus the fee that World Savings had charged me.

They covered none of my checks that had been returned, even though I had over $10,000.00 in a CD in their bank, and even though I had been a customer of theirs for over 25 years.

I asked for the money to be refunded to me, and even took it higher than the branch here in town, nothing happened.

I also had another account in a locally owed bank that had the same thing happen with it. They covered my checks, they did charge me a fee, but my checks were covered. This kept me from paying all the fees to merchants to make new payments.

Not only did World Savings rip me off, but they were very rude, saying things like "I"m not the one that wrote the bad checks", and "if your would like I'll close your account for you right now".

Wonderful customer service, wouldn't you say.

I have since taken all of my money out of World Saving and put it into other places. They more or less told me that was ok. I guess they don't need or want the business of an individual that has just a small amount of money.
